Rupert pulled anxiously at his tie with his free hand, his other hand clutched at the handle of his brief case, as he walked through the halls he could feel a tension in the air, of course there would be though, even the kids read the newspapers as of late and if they read this morning's news they would have heard tell of their english teacher's untimely death, the cause was unknown.
The would be librarian stopped in front of the classroom door, students congrated, some sitting on their desks talking to their peers, others staring somberly, seeming to be in their own little world. The school should have, by all means of been shut down today. However alas it was not, the reason being the school board decided that the students needed to go on with their daily lives, remain "normal" as the head of the school board put it.
Rupert took a deep breath, first time for everything, he thought as he pushed through the door to begin his first day as a substitue teacher. He had been the first pick with his being a school librarian and all, he had a deep passion for the english language, and from his last school did some extra work tutoring struggling students, and now here he was, the substitue.

Skyler walked through the halls of the school, his face looking down at the floor watching his feet as they scuffed on top of the clean polished surface. This was the last place he wanted to be today, but alas it was better then staying at home today with his very somber mother.
The young man in the long leather trench coat stopped in front of the door to the English classroom, and almost thought about turning to make his way to the school yard where he knew there would be a congrigation of other students all dealing with the loss of their teacher, but that just didn't feel right either, he needed to be around people, he needed to keep busy.

Alison entered the classroom and paused before she entered, her walk almost looked as though she floated through the sea of grief stricken students.
If all these deaths kept up, the human race would be nothing but an extinct population, she thought as her eyes sized up the substitute teacher who was taking place of the old english teacher.
Highly doubting that there would be much in the line of learning today, Alison took a seat at the back of the classroom where she leaned back in her seat where she stretched out her arms and placed her hands behind the back of her head, she hadn't even bothered pulling out any of her books out of her kit bag for doubt that there'd be much learning going on in the classroom. Instead she prepared herself for a long and easy day.
