Rupert looked at the shell that was once his brother, had he ever felt an iron fist hit him so hard, this is what he would have imagined it to feel like, he thought as he felt himself feeling ill. His torn feelings starting a war within himself. No matter what Luke was still his brother, he was still kin and right now he could hear the movements of weapons being drawn like some olden day war movie, Luke was the soldier's target.
He wondered, how had it come to this in the first place, how could anyone even want to kill Luke, the man who fought (Used to) to protect those less fortunate to know the art of combat, how, if they were in the Opera House, a vampire even managed to get to him in the first place. There were all questions which caused him to think, to even go so far as to weaken that strong resolve he had at the beginning of the funeral as this now monster, was once his baby brother.

The southern beauty felt a strong surge of pride as she watched her newborn, but she couldn't have him feeding off this crowd, and that could prove to be a problem, she looked around, the townsfolk seemed to be drawing their weapons, Rose, herself, slowly began to back up, not noticing where she was going she backed into the young man who seemed to be overly protective of the girl who had just lost her father. " Sorry." Rose muttered, turning, she watched the rest of the crowd running frantically, then, wanting to blend in she followed suit, running with the rest of the crowd doing her best to blend in.
When she was sure she was out of the line of sight from the others, Rose slipped behind a brick building which stood close to the side of the graveyard, she was startled, high above them the rain and it's clouds were slowly disappearing. From back here she could see her newborn feeling the effects of the sun and with much luck she watched him as he ran away from the crowd, while she herself slipped into the mausoleum unnoticed by the large party of townsfolk.

Angel could felt the spinning dizzying feeling she had returning to her as Adrian stood in front of her. The child inside her screamed to run forward, to go to Luke, but she stood still behind Adrian, looking over his shoulder to watch Luke's movements, each move he made she jumped in fear that he would lunge forward and she would have no choice but to defend herself against him.
Through all of this chaos she hadn't noticed until now the sky was clearing of thier darkend rainy sky and instead changing to a bright pale blue. The sun had decided to show itself as well, it was this that seemed to be fending off Luke, and feeling braver Angel stepped from behind Adrian so she could get a little closer to the man who seemed to be freaked out by the sunlight.
" Luke?" She tried talking to him, deep down she knew this was useless, she could tell that he was being taken over, he was no longer her Luke, but a stranger, and now it seemed that the sun affected him in a way that would cause him pain, so much so that he turned from the crowd.
" Luke.. Don't....." Angel tried, but was unable to speak loud enough, she seemed to have lost her voice as she watched Luke making a run for it, moving quicker than what she had seen any human run before. It hurt, the ache that he caused when he ran off, it hurt more than what it had when he had died, for now he had risen, there was going to be a form of him running around, reminding her of what she had lost..... " Dad...." she breathed out finally her eyes not moving from the spot where he had stood just a few seconds ago.

The thing, whatever it was, seemed to dislike sunlight and, rather disturbingly, was very fast. Catching it wouldn't be easy, even if he did decide to track it. Then a little voice behind him reminded that his attention was required elsewhere. "Hey." He said in an effort to soothe her as he turned around to embrace her. "There there, we'll sort this out. It'll all be better." How he had no idea, he would probably have to swallow his pride and ask for help in places he didn't want to go. But seeing Angel sad was agonizing, he didn't want that, he wanted her to be happy.
Over her shoulder he saw mother and father, standing by a car with a stranger. They didn't seem concerned with their present company and so he concluded that they were safe. Even if they weren't, he could cover that distance in seconds. He held Angel close, pressing her head to his chest and kissing the top of her head. "I'll make it all better, I promise." He would find a way to ease that pain, no matter the cost.

Trinity lowered her arm and watched with relief as the once Luke McCoy ran away with the effect of the sun. It was safe now, and nobody had realized her using her powers. Or so she'd thought. As she turned to leave silently, she felt an intense gaze on her. Trinity's eyes met with a guy's who she knew from school: Skyler was one of the few people who hadn't run away... And seemingly the only one who'd seen her. Panicked, Trinity turned her eyes away and walked out from the graveyard as calmly as she could, then started to run. She had to be more careful around that guy from now on.
