So it was a test. she thought bitterly as the boy explained himself. Like it or not on some level she could understand why he did it. There were some idiots out there that thought they were hot shots and could take on anything, the kind of fool that claimed to be a hunter and showed off but when it really came down to it they either died quickly or fell short. It still made her feel bitter about it and it made her wonder just how many people like that this kid must have met to put her under the test. But now that she knew what he was doing she felt less inclined to leave him be, she did say that she would help him out if he wanted her to and clearly now that she ‘passed’ he did want her help. There was no reason to turn him down now when he didn’t mean any harm.
She listened to him talk about Roman, the information that he fed her piquing her interest in his target. Not many demons had the ability to take on human shape. The demon she was looking for had a human form as well, the chances that this demon was the one she had been searching for was this one had increased slightly. The likelihood of Roman being the one though was still not as strong, just because he could take on human shape didn’t mean that he was the one. There would be others like him in this world. With any luck though if he wasn’t the one she was looking for he did know about the one she was hunting down. Either ways it was still worth checking out. At the very least if he had nothing that could assist her in her own personal quest as a hunter she still had to stop him. He could be planning something awful, he needed to be stopped.
“Fine, I’ll help out.” She said and turned away from the staircase, going right back into business mode. There was a job to be done and by god she was going to do everything she could to complete it. “Do you have any idea where his current hideout is? Where did you meet him?” The first step was to track this demon down, for that she needed as much clues as they could possibly gather so they could track him down and end him. “What does he look like?” It was a good idea to know what he looked like. Depending on his answer to that she might just have more of an interest in this case.
