Rupert pulled his car, an old red painted Volvo up in front of the Cathedral. He looked at his watch anxiously, hoping this meeting with his niece wouldn't take long he had to get back to work as he after all did tell his boss he would be back shortly.
The older man climbed out of the beaten up car and slowly looked around him, taking in the magnificent looking building as he did so, this was indeed a certainly odd place to have a meeting, especially due to all the rumors he had been hearing, his niece, a murderer. Of course he wasn't surprised of the demon part, he had known that for many years now. He had only wondered when the change had come about thought.
It didn't matter though, he would come here, and then he would convince the child to return to town with him, where if his thick headed brother wouldn't allow her to return home, Rupert would then insist that he at least allow her to come and move into the house with him, as it did turn out that it was his own fault Angel didn't know about her past.
As he continued thinking a bad feeling came over him, he didn't think he heard anyone pull up here, but he could have sworn he heard something rustling in the trees in the distance. Rupert then decided it would be best to turn and leave immidiately, perhaps Angel had decided to go else where, after all this was the scene of the crime.

It had been a long day for Roman, his constant taste for striking terror in the hearts of men, women, and children had caused him fatigue, he had very little energy left, so he had made his way to the Cathedral, a place that very few people had went for the fear the murderous demons would come back to this spot to spill more blood.
Roman chuckled, what went from an innocent lie to ruin a couple of relationships had turned into a wide spread forest fire, burning threw the whole town, a type of fire that was Roman's specialty.
He grinned, he was over came with joy at the terrific progress he was making, turning this overly happy peaceful little town into a depressing litteral hell hole, no matter how upset his big brother was with his tactics. However his joy then turned into intrigue as he realized he wasn't alone.
Does that girl never learn. He thought, You'd think she'd be a tad bit more careful, returning to the scene of the crime- weather you commit it or not is never a good. However as he hid there within the safety of the bushes he realized that there was no girl there, however someone who shared her familier scent which was odd in itself, even odder that he had come here and seemed to be looking for something.
Roman grinned, it was time to stir up some more trouble, he found his energy suddenly return to him as a surge of giddyness flowed through his veins. This man was going to be so much fun to toy with. He thought as he came out from his hiding spot, like a child forfitting whilst playing hide and go seek.

He kept his eyes intently on the moving bush, there was no way that some kind of animal could create that much movement, and he was proven right as a man appeared out of the bushes, a man who he slightly recognized from somewhere.
He wondered what business the man had here, it was certainly odd behavior for towns people to be hiding themselves in bushes, highly suspicious for Rupert's taste, and the smile fixed on the man's features made him even more weary of him.
He was feeling shifty as the odd stranger strode towards him, so much so that a feeling in the pit of his gut told him to just turn, turn around and leave this man to do his business, whatever it was, Rupert didn't want any part of it, however a glint of something in the bright blue eyes told him he already was.

He was really starting to like this town, he thought as he stood and watched Rupert intently while listening to the paranoid thoughts swimming around like fish in the sea in the old man's head. He smirked wondering what to do with this poor man who had just responded to an emergency text message from his dear niece who told him to meet him here right away, only to find a strange darkly dressed man hiding himself from view within the bushes.
What he really had to stifle his laughter at though was the new thoughts that were coming in, it was like a stream of panic coming from the old man's thoughts, No, Roman thought back, she's not back there laying dead on the ground.
He smirked, " I didn't think anyone was here." He said in his smooth voice, he wasn't ready for the man to get this scared this quickly, he wanted him to stay so he could play with him for a bit. " I was, watching for demons." He said quickly, " You know, hoping I could catch a glimpse of one as this was the last spot they attacked and all.
Another thought crossed the man's head again, making it harder for Roman to hide his amusement with how fun this game was turning out to be.

Rupert didn't know why, but he didn't like the smug smile on this man's face, he tried to think, why was he so familiar, then a thought struck him, he had seen this young man in a book, which for his age was completely impossible, there'd be no way he would be able to make it into one of his books, after all some of them were dated back to hundreds of years ago.
The stranger had said he was behind the bushes watching for demons, it was certainly a strange activity to say the least, Rupert thought as once again he shifted his gaze at his gold wrist watch, he really didn't feel right to entertaining this gentleman in conversation any further, he had to be back at work soon. However he really didn't feel right turning his back on him either, for the look in Roman's eyes spoke something, Rupert did not feel that he should be trusted.
He took a deep sigh, and took another long gaze at Roman. " Well, carry on then." He said turning to leave, he couldn't stand the discomfort any further. " I really should be leaving now."

The smile faded from Roman's face, which for him was too bad, he was really enjoying the thoughts in Rupert's head, it was like watching an entertaining television show. However just as Rupert told him he was going to head off, a very dangerous thought crossed the old man's head, one which Roman now considered him a liability.
He needed to make him stay, Rupert recognized him out of a book, he would go somewhere, study up on him and then his whole cover would be blown up. Liam would be pissed as hell if that happened, it would be a lot worse for this poor soul if that happened, which may in the end would be alot of fun, but Rupert did have brains, brains which may come out to be useful in the long term so Roman tried to think frantically how to make him stay here.
Suddenly, almost like a mean strike of lightening an idea came to his head, Yes, that just may work. He thought, then he spoke, in a voice which was not his own, however someone else very familier, a soft spoken female, " Uncle Rupert, wait don't go." The mimick came out perfectly, " I really need to talk to you."

He turned around, he was leaving, this man was giving him a rather uncomfortable feeling, he would go back to the school and read in one of his large books, he would....
His back to Roman he stopped, frozen only letting his foot hit like the ground when he heard the small voice speaking to him from the spot Roman had just been standing, it was impossible. He turned slowly around, and sure enough, his niece was there, her eyes staring up at him like a small child. She didn't look in good health at all, her features were all pale, she didn't look as though she slept in days judging from the dark circles under her eyes. His face softened as he suddenly forgot why he had been so scared, he was beginning to forget about Roman.
" You texted me." Rupert said to the Angel imposter holding up his cell phone, " Was there anything in paticular you wanted?"

Roman ran a nervous hand through his hair, this had been the first time he had ever needed a reason to mimik someone, " Ah, yeah, forget that Uncle Rupert, I was just freaking out about something. You know, being wanted for murder and all." He said the last part in a rather high pitched chuckle, the thoughts in the old man's head told him that he was confused watching what he thought was his niece.
Roman sat there, mimicking the awkward silence he had watched Angel use before, he kept his eyes locked into Rupert's trying to keep the illusion going, but something was off, it seemed that Rupert wasn't buying the whole thing completely. Roman shrugged, he needed to keep Rupert away from other people in town, he needed to prevent him from blowing his whole cover away, so he looked deeply into Rupert's eyes, " Sorry Uncle Rupert." He said suddenly as he pulled a small dagger out, he wasn't much for the violence, but in this case he felt he really had no other choice.
He took the dagger and shoved it deep inside Rupert as he caught him swiftly before he hit the ground. Roman looked at his blood covered hands, and then at the man, he would take him up to the castle to mend him up, where Rupert would become a very valuable asset to him and the others, with the knowledge of this world he had.

"Mum, dad, I'm fine, really!"
But he was not. He felt like hell and worse, having attempted to rid himself of vulnerability and the pain it caused him, he had only managed to make the wound that much worse. He knew he shouldn't be out tonight, for if he were caught he would surely be marked down as Angel's accomplice. Strange how that had worked out. He had returned to the location of their second meeting, the roof of the cathedral, climbing up the wall like another bug or, yes, spider.
He wasn't much in the mood for hunting, though. No, he just wanted to give in to apathy and lethargy, but that was the path of weakness, and he could not allow himself any. He was going though these exact thoughts when he heard a car pull up and soon after voices began. A sly grin forming underneath his disguise, a basic one comprised of two pieces of black cloth, one wrapped around his upper head and the other around his lower, from the nose and down. Salvation had come to him, on this night, and he would not pass up such an oppurtunity.
What might we have? He thought to himself, slinking soundlessly across the roof, nearing the voices with growing anticipation. Gangbangers, drug-dealers or perhaps even a crooked guard? He needed blood, only the shedding of guilty blood took the edge off, only that could make him feel at ease. He needed to hurt, to hunt, to kill tonight or he might lapse into a depression, and, as stated before, he could not afford himself such weakness. But when he reached the edge of the roof, nothing could have prepared him for the surge of hatred and the elation that followed at the sight of the being below. There was that teacher, but he wasn't important, he proably wouldn't get in the way. Much more importantly, Roman was there, and if there was something he knew would put him at ease, it would be to undo this weak filth.
He would have dropped right away, descend on Roman from above and drive his knife deep into the demon's unholy flesh, but then something happened. The creature took on another shape, and Adrian hesitated. It was her, was it really her? His legs went weak, he had almost attacked her, and the thought of causing her anymore pain was too much for him to deal with at this moment. He watched, and waited. When he saw the old man being shivved he felt the rage flare up again, more powerful than before. Angel would not have done that, she wouldn't need to use a knife. Besides, as he quickly realized afterwards, that thing down there did not carry her scent. An instant later, Adrian glided through the air without a sound, dagger in hand and aimed at the imposter's jugular vein. If his attak missed, he would roll back on his feet with practiced speed and ability, attacking Roman again and again until he saw a chance to land the final blow. He would not hesitate, he would not slow down and he would not let himself rest until his mission was here was done. There would be blood on the ground tonight, and at the moment it didn't matter to him if it would be Roman's or his own.

" So sorry Uncle Rupert." Angel's voice rang, starting to slowly transition back into his own. He stood there for a moment holding the old man and then looking at the car parked in front of the Cathedral, he realized he would have to make that disappear, if anyone in town spotted that there would be quetions asked for sure.
He spoke to the man who was barely conscious. " Sorry old man." He said, " But I need something of yours...." That was when he noticed Adrian coming towards him. Gracefully Roman stepped aside, Rupert still clutched in one arm. So, judging by the anger, Angel must have told the punk kid what had happened. He must not be too happy. Roman responded to the expression on the kid's face with laughter.
" What, did my plan work?" He asked as Adrian was now in earshot. However really, he didn't want to mess with this kid, not now anyway he had demon business to attend to, however he wondered how Tiffany was doing in the graveyard.

((Is this the part were we roll the die? Regardless, let's wait for Rupert for now, he'll probably have something to add.))
Adrian hit the ground rolling and was back on his feet within the space of a second. His face was all but hidden, and what little that would normally give him away, his bluish-purple eyes, were now burning a fierce yellow with pure hate. His target was obstructed, and so he opted to simply case his prey, knife in hand, not wasting time or breath on useless words. He would draw blood tonight, and he would relish it. Somewhere along the line he would invoke his powers of illusion, making it appear that he continued to case his prey whilst, in reality, he was walkign te other way around him. He was an expert illusionist, and he had plenty of practice in this ruse, he wasn't thinking, it didn't belong in a fight. The cockroach spoke, but Adrian paid it no mind, it was empty, hollowed out along with the rest of his inner, leaving only his hate and desire to kill.
When he was behind his target, he would reach for one of his all-time chemistry favies, the smoke-bomb. He had made mch use of these in the past, before the demons came, knowing better than most that a confused mind is a weakened one. He would toss it, having his illusion perform the same action, both the illusioury object and the real one impacting just two steps to Roman's right. Then he would charge in, going by scent, to end this whole deal. He had a debt to repay, and he knew no way better to settle such a score than with a well-placed blade. He was a natural, a prodigy, a virtual virtuoso with a knife, though his skills without were not far behind. He had a few other tricks up his sleaves and hidden in his many pockets, but he would save those until they were needed.

Roman sighed, why did the people in this town persist on taking on things that contained more power than they had within their reach. This pathetic world was full of idiots who ran around like candy in a kid store thinking that with all their new rules and extra security measures they would all be safe from the demons who lurked amoung them.
However even more idiotic were the ones who thought they could battle these demons. It was a proven fact that in every generation of demons, there was one silly half breed or human who thought they could take on which they didn't udnerstand, this is what Roman had been thinking as Adrian had created a all too heroic entrance. " Sorry Uncle Rupert." Roman had said letting the poor man fall limply to the ground, in what seemed just perfect timing for the punk kid had made it before him quicker than what Roman would have thought with what seemed like a minor make over by the looks of things.
" What kid?" Roman mocked as he felt a strong surge of strange power come from Adrian's aura " Did my girl finally come to her senses and dump you off already?" He smirked, but his smirk left quickly as he finally caught a glimpse of Adrian's now yellowish eyes. That's strange. Roman thought, as he dodged a quick attack from Adrian, not wanting to attack his attacker yet, but to simply observe him.
Suddenly the whole area began to fill with smoke, so heavy and so thick that Roman knew that he needed to leave this place, the kid wouldn't be backing down anytime soon. He chuckled through the clouds the smoke bomb had created, and spoke to Adrian as he began to fade away, " Not this time Adrian," He said loudly, he did have to admit that this Adrian kid seemed to be very resourceful, he was going to enjoy the day when it finally came time to fight him, but for now he had other business to attend to, more pressing and urgent matters, when the smoke cleared and was gone, Roman wouldn't be there, but up at his castle, he figured he would have to leave the old man here for now, but he would figure out a way later to take this man back as his slave later.

Adrian felt himself close in his prey, his heart-beat echoing through the inside, the knife not a tool but an extension of his arm, a wicked talon ripe to take a life. He felt exhiralation, finally he would wipe this smudge from the world, make it just a little bit better. And Angel...
He went by scent inside the cloud of smoke, it was all but impossible to see and his nose had serve him well in these endeavours before. But the scent of his prey faded, his eyes widened in and his knife cut nothing but air. The rage returned so suddenly, so fierce and strong that he only barely managed to wrest bak control of his body before he took the other life within his reach, the knife stopping less than an inch from the teacher's neck. Trembling, Adrian straightened himself up, pulling the knife away from the teacher, lying prone on the ground and already bleeding. Little thoughts and considerations made their way into his being again, tying down the hatred and the desire to kill and storing them in compartments Adrian had carefully woven of thoughts and rationalisation. Pulling off his mask and feeling his eyes revert to normal, he spat on the ground. "Coward." He would have his vengeance another night. For now, he had all but forgotten of the bleeding man at his feet.

Rupert felt himself slowly falling and then finally hitting the ground as his attacker was distracted by something or someone, he didn't know and quite frankly was in too much pain to care as he laid there covered in blood.
With quite a bit of effort he tried to think of what had happened, first there was that odd man, and then Angel had been there talking to him, then she had pulled out the knife and stabbed him with it, for no apparent reason at all, he then suddenly realized that the figure had changed to the odd looking man again, he had allowed himself to be tricked and was now laying here, suffering for that foolish mistake.
Rupert coughed as the whole area suddenly filled with smoke, this was a very painful invulonteery action as he did so which caused the would to spurt out more of his blood, and left him in a world of darkness.

Trinity sighed as she walked in the streets of Fortuna City, her hands in her pockets. This city was getting messier and messier each day and she'd started to blame herself for it; ever since her arrival, innocent human blood was getting spilled. Especially that devastating demon attack about a few weeks ago, which had killed off half of the town's population, had terrified her and the thought was still giving goosebumps to her. She wished she would be there to protect at least a few citizens...
The human world wasn't as peaceful as it was before. Yet, it had started to remind her of her "home."
Trinity was passing by the cathedral, the place that also witnessed bloody occasions recently, when she felt some blood scent. Human blood. Please no. She ran to the source of the scent and found a man lying in a pool of blood on the ground. There was also another young guy standing above him with a knife in his hand, fists clenched and head down. One would normally think he was guilty, but he didn't seem like a demon and the knife in his hand wasn't even bloody. He was probably a hunter who had tried to save the man and failed. Trinity approached the victim on the ground cautiously, but the standing guy didn't seem to realize (or care about) her presence. The victim's face seemed familiar but she couldn't really put a- What? "Mr McCoy?!" Although she had seen his face only once, Trinity recognized the new librarian of the town's school. She kneeled down and examined his body in panic; luckily, he wasn't dead, but in critical condition. She had to heal him quickly... But not here, while someone's watching closely. There was no way she could teleport in front of the guy too. "We must rush him to the hospital!" She told him hopelessly, but couldn't receive an answer or even a reaction. Deciding that he wasn't going to do anything about it, Trinity took the bleeding teacher onto her back and got out of the other guy's sight, to safely teleport to her house.
