I should not have come here Akeelah thought, the girl was feeling restless, she had been restless for the whole day. She should not have come to school today. Hell maybe she should just drop out all together, she rarely went to school as it was. Most of the time she spent training or hunting so she could become stronger. There was no point in going to school when it had no effect on her future plan. Her one goal in life was to destroy the demon race and that was that. It was what she was trained to do; it was the cause her family had died for. In the end it was the only future that she had. The only time she came to this place was when she needed a break from hunting like she needed now. Akeelah could not afford to wear herself out even she as dedicated as she was needed a break from time to time. School was the only place that brought any sense of normalcy into her chaotic life. No matter how much she changed this place stayed the same. The students were the same, the teachers were the same, the atmosphere never changed, it was the only place that felt stable. But it was also very boring, sometimes even agitating. Her teachers were getting on her ass again, Akeelah had spent half the day being lectured for her poor attendance and it put her in a bad mood.
She decided to skip her next class and use that time for a much needed break. She went to the one place she knew no one else would be during this time, the courtyard. Akeelah rarely came to this spot when she did attend school because there were always too many people around there during her break time. The girl preferred quiet and solitude so she avoided the courtyard for the most part. Most of her spare time was spent either on school roof or the library where no one world bother her. But now with class in session the place was free and for once she could have it all to herself. Akeelah found herself a comfy spot underneath a tree to sit under. She watched the clouds pass by as her mind drifted off. It was nice out today a pretty good day to be outside and not be stuck in a classroom, surrounded by morons and being chewed out by teachers. Maybe she should just skip the rest of the day.

He had been sleeping very little these days as he had been keeping late night watches on his father, who Skyler had inherited some of his demon powers from, all of this strange demon energy seemed to be having it's toll on a lot of those with hidden demon power.
Dodging the teachers, Skyler himself made his way out of the school, where he had to admit there was a very tense atmosphere today, which he shrugged off, with a death toll this town was having he wasn't surprised.
Skyler made his way down to the bright and sunny courtyard, feeling much better being outside, than in, that's where he noticed Akeelah, one of his other peers was also taking the oppurtunity to skip class as well. " Hey there." He said making his way up to the girl, at least he didn't have to skip class alone.

Akeelah was already feeling relaxed just sitting under the tree and watching the scenery. There was just something calm and relaxing about cloud watching that put the girl’s mind at ease. She had to wonder why she did not do it more often. She was so focused on fighting and training that sometimes she forgot to enjoy the simpler things in life. This was something that she really needed right now. A chance to relax, to breath, to be….normal. Too bad she did not bring a book with her to read while she was at it. It was times like this that was great for kicking back and reading a book, that or drawing. She wasn’t a pro at sketching but she did have a natural talent that she enjoyed. It came in handy during times like this, kept her hands busy and her mind from wandering off too far into thoughts she would rather leave alone. Sadly she had left her school bag in her locker and her locker was all the way on the other side of school. If she wanted to draw while she was here she would have to go all the way back and grab it, and she didn’t want to bother with it now, she had just got here so the trip wouldn’t be worth it. Especially if she was caught by one of the teachers wandering the halls, yeah…it was not worth the extra trip just to go and grab her shit not right now anyway.
The sound of another person’s voice broke the girl out of her thoughts and in an instant her mood shifted from calm to annoyance. Akeelah glared as she looked at the boy who spoke, she did not recognize the kid which meant that he probably was not in any of her classes. Either that or he was new here, not like it would make a difference she was never really close to any of the other students in this place. She had no friends and did not mind being alone, in fact she enjoyed being alone more like how she was just moments ago before this idiot showed up.
“What do you want?” she snapped at him. Being rude usually got people off her back, she was not in the mood to entertain this kid. He was probably just skipping class and was looking for something to do and just wanted to chat. Once he realized that she wasn’t game for any small talk he would leave, either that or he could be the type that was persistent and would not give up even when he was treated coldly. If there was one type of person Akeelah hated it was those overly friendly types that were too stupid to take a hint. If it came to that she could always just leave, maybe go to the school roof or just leave the school. Either method would be fine, but she was not willing to give her spot up just yet. It was better to wait and see just how he reacted first before she made her next move.

He was taken aback at the show of hostility mayber, no, more irratibility he thought as he nodded in agreement with himself. He had just came out here to skip class, seen this girl out here all alone and thought he would come and hang out with her, better to skip class with someone else, it was less boring that way.
He eyed her, wondering if he should just turn around and go to give her the courtyard to herself, or if he should stay here and probably annoy the hell out of her judging her reaction. He decided the later of the two would more likely be his decision as he smoothly walked past her to sit down.
" Well," He started answering her question, " I want to come out here and sit in the courtyard. If that's alright with you?" There was a hint of amusement in his tone as he asked this.

This is going to be harder than I thought she thought when the boy did not leave the instant she shunned him. Judging by the tone he was planning to annoy her simply out of boredom. That or he was one of those retards that could not take a hint. All this meant was it was going to take a little longer to shake him off. It was not the first time she had to deal with these kinds of people, it was rare but it happened from time to time. The best way to deal with them was to either continue on the more open aggressive approach or simply ignore them till they tired and went off to annoy someone else. Akeelah was not willing to give her spot up yet and sure as hell did not want to share it with this guy. If it was a fight he wanted it was a fight he’ll get.
“There are plenty of other places to go to why don’t you go over there?” she gestured to the rest of the courtyard. The place was pretty big and had a lot of other places to sit if he really wanted to hang out here. Anywhere else, preferably away from her. With any luck the boy would give up and crawl away to some other section of the courtyard and leave her in peace. More likely he was just going to stay longer and piss her off more, if he did that then she would figure out a proper way to deal with him. Might do her some good to chew someone out for awhile, relieve some of the stress that was building up today.

Skyler could read the hint of annoyance writen all over her face. Although he didn't usually enjoyed this type of conversation, he had to admit it was rather amuzing, he nodded at the area she had pointed at, " I could sit there." He said as he leaned back and put his hands to the back of his head and let it sit there. " But I think I like it here."
Skyler put his face up towards the sun and immediately felt it's warmth wash over his face. Through squinted eyes he seen she was still standing there and he sat back up straight, " Look, it's a free country. And well, the courtyard belongs to the rest of the school so, you're gonna have to deal with me for a while chickie."
He grinned, he could see another glitter of anger in her eyes, he felt as though he had probably touched a nerve this time.

This guy was really getting on Akeelah’s nerves, not only was he not leaving her alone but he was acting all high and mighty. God she hated people like that, they always shoved their nose into other people’s business just to annoy the other party and right now she was not in the mood for it. Well, she wouldn’t be in the mood for it even on a good day. She fought back the urge to punch the guy and walk away. She had no energy or patience for a physical fight the boy was probably not worth her energy anyway. That meant she was left with two options either ignore the bastard or continue to act like a bitch and piss him off enough so he would leave. The latter would help relieve some of her annoyance if she just chewed him out for awhile but from the way he was responding to her that was probably what he wanted. Wouldn’t be good an idea to cater to what he want. If she paid him any attention that would just be playing into his hands. Guess that leaves me with one option then. With that in mind she looked elsewhere and pretended that he did not even exist. He would get bored eventually and leave her alone, just ignore him and he will leave. There was no way she was going to leave now and go home, that would be like admitting defeat and there was no way she was going to let him win this round.

Skyler watched Akeelah who seemed as though she was trying to decide what to do, he chuckled to himself and continued looking up into the sun in the sky, he really did like it here, but he was feeling a little bad for coming in and ruining Akeelah's day seemingly.
She seemed calm down now at least, seemed being the word to remember at the moment, so he would try talking to her again, trying to keep a polite tone in his voice, " Hey, look, I'm sorry I came in on your territory." He said in an apologetic tone of voice, " But I'm not leaving so let's just try to be civil O.k? This place is set here for all the students, so don't try to act like you own the place."
He looked at her for a moment, to see what her reaction to this was, to see if she would except his offer of peace. After all, he had a feeling neither of them were going to budge.

Akeelah had to hold back a snort as Skylar apologized to her. Civil huh? Yeah that was not going to happen. Akeelah couldn’t be civil under normal circumstances like this. Getting along with others always seemed to be a problem for her. The only time she ever acted ‘civil’ was when she needed to hide something or was trying to weasel her way out of an unnecessary fight. Unless she had something to hide or gain from this meeting she really saw no need to even try to be nice. Keeping up a façade amongst others was too much of a chore for her to maintain. This guy would not understand that, he probably was the type that hated to be alone or see others being alone. How could he possibly understand how the mind of a loner like her worked?
She kept her gaze away from his, remaining silent and ignoring him. This was the best way to deal with this for now. He would get bored, or maybe feel guilty for bothering her and then leave in defeat. She certainly wouldn’t feel bad about rejecting him, she did it enough that she rarely ever felt any form of guilty for being too harsh. She could be worse, she could insult him so bad that she could make him break down and cry. She had done that once, and it was probably the only time she ever really felt bad about what she did. She wouldn’t go that far with this guy though. The one she had been that cruel to was one that bothered her more than once. That would not happen again. He couldn’t be THAT persistent right?

Still nothing- he could see that he wasn't going to get anywhere by trying to be friendly so he shook his head and glanced at his watch, the minute hand seemed to tick slowly around the face, Skyler leaned back again and turned his face up towards the sun again, there would be no way he was going to let some small girl ruin his day by giving him the silent treatment, he was going to enjoy his free time out here in the courtyard.
Besides, he needed to keep his energy focused on other things. Tonight he would be going out to search for the red haired demon, he would hunt her down, and he would kill her. And if he found any one else who decided to stand in his way of doing this task, he would kill them too.
Skyler looked over at Akeelah again, she was really going to keep this silence up, he smirked, whatever he thought, at least it was going to be peaceful enough.

An awkward silence passed between them after that and still neither one of them moved. It was very uncomfortable from her perspective simply because just ignoring him did not mean he didn’t exist. Just his presence alone was bothering her. It wasn’t anything against this boy in particular anyone at this moment would annoy her. Akeelah tried to focus on other things to pass the time as she wanted for him to leave but her thoughts drifted off on all the things she could be doing right now instead of wasting her time in school. She sighed softly, today was just not her day. It was a mistake to come back, all she was doing was wasting time trying to relax a little bit and not getting even that. There was never any real break for demon hunters anyway. She couldn’t keep this up if she could not stop thinking about her job.
She got up and without saying a word she turned to leave. Let him win this time around she didn’t really care anymore. If he was adamant about bothering her he could try to follow her she didn’t really care. It wasn’t like he was any real threat to her so she could easily shake him off. All she wanted to do was get out of this place and do some training. Maybe she would go back to Bullseye and train there, it had been awhile since she last went there.
