The Snitch(( Open))

[Roman]

Roman entered the property to the McCoy household, wishing it had been more of a challenge than this to find. However everyone around here seemed to know the McCoys, Luke and the what everyone refferred to as sweet young girl that lived with him, so it hadn't been a challenge.

He looked around him making sure no one was around, a practiced paranoid trait of his that know one, including him knew why he carried.

With a sigh Roman walked up to the house, trying to remember the image he had seen in Angel's mind. He had to be quick about this though as he didn't want Angel coming home while he was pushing her memories onto Luke.

[Luke]

Luke looked up at the clock, he had been doing that a lot lately since Angel had been running off doing god knows what. His natural fatherly instinct he had aquired after long years kicked in as he heard the a knock on door making his heart beat wildly.

With a sigh, Luke got up slowly, walked across the room and pulled open the door to the house only to see a rather oddly dressed man. I thought it was rather warm. Luke thought taking in the man's long heavy black leather trench compared to his own light fabriced blue buttoned down shirt and black pants. " Why hello there?" Luke said slowly and hesitantly, " Are you lost?" He asked looking past Roman looking for some signs of a vehicle.

[Roman]

Roman looked around him to see what Luke was searching for, then he smiled at his paranoia, " No." Roman answered pushing past Luke trying to make himself seem official. Just get this memory pushed to the old man. Roman thought as he walked past Luke into his house.

" Is you're... er... daughter home?" He asked looking around the house for any sign of the seventeen year old girl. He looked at Luke and seen she wasn't home, Poor guy's gonna be guilty for this. He thought with a smirk on his face which he quickly forced a serious pose. " Not good at all." He said to Luke, " Please sit down. You may want to pour yourself a drink as well."

He watched as Luke mixed himself a drink and even tried to offer Roman one, I'd love one.- but instead, " No." He said still easily keeping his rather professional looking persona going as he looked casually around the room staring at a younger Angel staring back in the pictures that stared back within their glass frames. " Do you know where your daughter is tonight?"

[Luke]

Luke looked at Roman with confusion, " No." He said, wondering how on earth this man had any affiliation with Angel, " She's at school I expect." Luke said feeling rather irratible.

However the truth of it was, Luke didn't know where Angel was, the last he had heard of her was that she was spotted by a neighbor hanging out in a coffee shop with some young man. Of course it worried him, but with how much he had going on with the demons running the streets and such Luke hadn't realized how much time had gone past since he seen the girl.

He eyed Roman wearily. " What's it to you?" He asked rushing the conversation along as he had somewhere else he needed to be, " Maybe you should go to the school and talk to my brother, he is the school librarian, he'd hear tell of her more than what I have." as he said this, another question occurd to him, " Is she in some sort of trouble?"

[Roman]

This was easier than Roman had thought it would have been, he was finding it hard to keep a straight face, but he knew he had to keep the charade going, " I'm afraid so Mr McCoy, Angel's in some very serious trouble." Roman looked at Luke his pretend serious face looking very somber, " I have to say, you and your daughter are very respected around here. That is why the news I have here for you is very troublesome indeed."


Roman stood up, his pose was working to an extent that even his older brother would have been proud of him if he had been here, sure he would admit that he was a little obsessed at the moment, but if he could extract even a little of the girl's powers and mixed it with his own him and Liam could at least have this part of the world as their own.

He stopped for a moment to listen in on Luke's thoughts, the poor guy was in hysterics. " Sir, I'm superior with the gaurds...." Roman used this moment to look into the man's eyes until he seen Luke was actually believing him, " And I regret to tell you there's been a death, that we highly believe your daughter has been involved in, I am very sorry sir, very sorry indeed, you see she was spotted..." He didn't want to bring it up, but he felt he had no choice, " Sir, she was spotted turning into a demon. Now sir, with demons running around and all sir we've been noticing a lot of the town's kids turning to witch craft, dark arts stuff, very dangerous indeed. But, well, it must come to a shock to know you're very own daughter, you being head of the demon hunting committee or what not is actually doing things behind your back." He went on as he noticed a very large and impressive dark arts book sitting in the bookshelf, " Especially after the curfew, you set up."

This was it, he pushed the image that he pulled outside of Angel's mind and gave it to Luke, that is with a few minor details changed making it look like Angel had in fact been the one to kill the man from the start. " Sir, don't be too rough on the poor girl." He added, " However I do believe we need to make an example somewhere, and unfortunately this does have to be dealt with."

He looked at Luke's ashen face, " I'm sorry again Luke." He said, " Do me a favor, if she does come home, tell her that we will be looking for her and that Roman says not to bother running, it will only be harder that way."

[Luke]

He couldn't believe it, everything he had done, everything he had worked towards came crumbling down around him in that moment. It was like having an earthquake come and take your house down.

As much as he didn't want to believe it, he remembered (Or at least thought he remembered) the body lying there on the ground in front of him, there was a strand of, long black hair, Luke thought taking a deep sigh he stood up and shook Roman's very oddly warm hand. " I'll take care of this." Luke said very distraught at the moment. " As soon as I can." He promised the what he thought was a guard.

First though, he needed to go to work, there was countless of innocent people in this city he needed to protect. He would call Skyler to come and stay at the house and have him notify him when and if Angel returned home. Than he would have no choice but to come and deal with the problem at hand.

[Roman]

Roman's insides nearly burst with how overjoyed he was, but he needed to keep this serious act up for just a moment longer, " Thank you." He said, " You're doing a great job with everyone, it's not your fault."

He then made his way to the front door and turned around to see Luke, hearing the struggle he was having inside of his head of what to do, some of which Roman didn't even like- It's not that serious of a crime. he thought to himself as the word death was echoing through Luke's mind.

Roman shrugged it off and then opened the door letting himself outside. He looked around him making sure no one was there he decided to make a quick exit as he disappeared from the spot, not knowing what kind of trouble to stir up next.

[Skyler]

It didn't take very long for Skyler to respond to Luke's phone call, he had gotten it, told his parents what he had to do, and that it was o.k. to be out after curfew when it was the man who set the curfew up who had called him over.

As he knew the McCoy's very well, he invited himself into the house, where he was greeted by a very glassy eyed Luke, if he hadn't known the man any better he would have thought Luke had been doing drugs, but he knew better than to think that Luke McCoy would do such things.

Skyler, after a very awkward silence, not knowing what to say as he knew how close he and Angel was, and he knew what this must have done to him, therefor he could only come up with, " Sorry."

[Luke]

" Sorry" Is that what the kid had just said, or did he really mean to say more, " Sorry Angel turned out to be some kind of demon."


Luke felt as though the thin line between reality and that of another world had been torn down and now he was being forced to deal with occurances beyond his control, trapped in another world that he didn't belong to.

Thoughts crossed his mind as he remembered Angel's mother, the death had hit them both very hard, for different reasons of course that at the time Angel had been too hard to understand, all that Angel had thought was that her mommy and daddy had been killed for no apparent reason, however that was far from the truth- Amy had died as they were scared, the people who killed her knew of the power she held and they didn't want her coming to power, it had been that very night Luke was prepared to run away with Amy and the two children, to protect the three of them.

Another very pressing thought came to his mind, maybe if he had've told the girl long and ever ago... No it wouldn't have made the difference, Angel would've done this with or without that knowledge.

" It's alright Skyler." Luke replied, " Look, just call me if she comes in." He said getting up and leaving the house to take care of his business.

[Angel Killer]

Angel walked into the house, she hadn't been there for days now and thought she should at least check in, especially after the day she just had.


She walked in expecting a lecture from Luke about responsibility, and whatever else it was he would lecture about while she trained herself to act like she was paying attention whilst she was actually thinking of other things.

Instead however, when she entere her living room, she was surprised that instead of Luke, it had been a somber looking Skyler waiting there instead. O.K. this is weird on like so many different levels. she thought as she greeted him. He looked like he was a mess. " What's up?" She asked, not sure if she wanted to know really, but since he was here looking like a kid who just had his bike stolen she thought she'd ask anyway.

[Skyler]

She had startled him when she walked in at first, and he couldn't believe she would actually come home
after what she had done to that poor guard. Words failed him as he looked at her quietly, trying to think of
what to say, and more frankly how to say it. " I was just about to ask you the same thing." He said, not
believing, not wanting to believe that this girl who he had thought of like a little sister was nothing more than
a murdering demon.

He took a deep breath and stood up, " Look, there's talk going around kid." He said although he was an
adult, when in reality there was only a couple of years between them. " Where've you been?" He began to
interigate, " You've had everyone worried about you, especially Luke."


Skyler looked deep into Angel's eyes, if there was one thing she wasn't good at, it was lying, he was able to
read her like an open book, however nothing about the girl that he was staring at even resembled a murderer
or a demon. He sighed again deeply and told her to sit down. " Look he said clenching his hands, I don't
care about what I'm supposed to do at the moment." He looked outside, from the distance he seen a group of
gaurds making their way in the direction of the house. " Hide." Skyler said suddenly not know what he was going
to do, " Hide. Upstairs." Skyler said shutting off the lights so that all he could see was a faint outline of Angel's
pale face. " Go on." Skyler hissed through the darkness.

[Angel Killer]

Angel had never seen Skyler this paranoid before, she wanted to ask him what
was up, she also wanted to ask him why the city guards were making there way like vigilanties up to the house. However judging by the urgency in Skyler' s voice she knew she didn't have the time to ask anything.


" Fine, you're coming with me." She said pulling Skyler by the arm. It wasn't as
if she didn't trust Skyler or anything, however it was the guard's knowledge of Skyler's hopes and dreams of becoming on of- or at least as close as he can get to being one of them. She shuddered for a moment to think of those consequences, it would be like waving a twenty dollor bill in front of a kid in a candy store and telling them to go shopping.

They ran through the house in the darkness and stopped at the bottom landing of the stairs both staring at the door both too scared to move, it wasn't until they heard a loud bang on the front door, and a commanding officer telling them to open the door did they run up the stairs where at the top they were both began breathing heavily.

Angel looked at Skyler with a almost threatening expression, " Speak."
She demanded, reminding herself of Adrian from school earlier as she waited very impatiently for Skyler's explaination.

[Skyler]

Skyler looked at Angel with a rather discomforted expression on his face, he didn't know what to tell her, especially if she was some murderous demon. Skyler gulped hard, now was one of those times he wished he was able to just avoid. There was something scarey about her eyes at the moment, something he had never noticed as she had never been angry with him, or at anyone for that matter, she had her mind set, she wanted to know exactly what was going on, and thus demon or not she deserved to know.

Skyler opened his mouth very nervously and began speaking, he told her of the very brief phone call Luke had made to him, explaining that Luke had a visitor, one that claims that he witnessed her becoming a demon and tearing apart one of the gaurds, he went on to tell Angel the instructions he had been giving for if she showed up home. Then he asked her a question that he didn't really want to know if it was true or not, but thought he would ask anyway. " Are you a demon?"

[Angel Killer]

That had stung. Not just the fact that he had to ask, but also the fact that he asked the way he did, accusingly, almost like she was some some common criminal being interigated for some crime. " So what if I am?" She asked, daring him to retort her question, he was as well after all, and she didn't go around treating him like a loose cannon that she was scared to touch in fear of setting it off.

There was a deafening silence, both of them staring each other down, she could now see it etched in his face, the fear, the questions, the accusations. Downstairs there was a loud crash, as they both knew that the door was being broke into, something about Skyler's eyes told him he would not be coming with her but staying here. In disbelief Angel turned to the closest window, she could feel that same energy from the night they, her and Adrian, had fought the demon at the cathedral, and at that very moment the window she had been staring at broke into a million glass shards that blew around the room and she forced herself to jump out, leaving the little farm house for who knows how long.
