" I'm fine." Angel said as she felt her body transform back into her human self putting on a brave smile as finally the last bit of blond hair turned back to it's pitch black self, now that the demon was dead it was just her and Adrian, left to stand alone.
Angel used her last bit of energy to clean up the gruesome mess left behind, feeling a tad dizzy, but at least her and Adrian were both still alive. " I would appriciate it if we could just keep that between the two of us." She requested smiling again.

"Oh no, oh no no no. You're not getting off that easy." He said, limping over towards her, eyes still yellow. "I need to know what that was." Now that the adrenaline was wearing off he felt that the creature had come close to dislocating his leg, but that was minor concern. Those eyes, he had found peace in them, like coming home from an eternity of wandering lost. He shook his head, clearing out the thought. "Sorry, none of my buisness." He needed to remain in control. "But, next time, what do you say we leave the body? Now, they might think the poor sod was murdered and no be aware of, well, whatever the HELL that thing was is in the city. I do NOT want my biology teacher coughing up a pair of barbed tendrils just to prove his crackpot theories."
He limped over to the wall and sat down with his back against it, testing to see if his leg was in need of medical attention. It was not. "Hang on just a moment, I need my stuff." Placing his hands on the wall and lifting himself from the ground, he began climbing up the wall as though he were a fly. A few seconds later he returned with a backpack and his jacket from before. "Here, so you don't get cold." He walked now, having mastered the pain in his leg, and put the coat over her shoulders. "Now, what do you say we get out of here? Someone might've heard our little tussle and I wouldn't want to be caught out here by guards or demons... or both." He looked at the spot where the creature had faded into nothingness. "Come on, I know a place." If she followed, he would lead her to a little hide-out he had found, the basement of one of the city's deserted houses. "Demons don't come here, dunno why. Here." Pulling from his backpack a thermos flask he took off the top and poured the steaming hot contents into the cup-sized lid. "This'll make you feel better." The coffee had enough sugar in it to power a small oil refinery and a bit if cinnamon for taste. "It always helps me." He said, smiling.

Angel took the coffee gratefully that Adrian had given her, however she felt now that she had so much more to think about. It was truley funny how small things like slaying a demon could do that to you, but when it was someone you knew, it felt like it just hit you harder.
She forced a smile, and sipped on the coffee, embracing the warmth it gave her. Something she had noticed since she began to have these secretive transformations was that she was having, quite frequently, and once again, never this intense had made her body temperature cold all the time, even when it was nice out, she hardly ever left home without her sweater or a jacket these days. " Thanks." She managed to say in between a sip of her coffee.

They were safe, for now. That had been a good hunt, aside from a few bruises and scrapes, and apperantly a terminal case of low body temperature, they were okay, and they had prevented the needless deaths of innocents. "Well, that was a success." He grinned, sitting down with his back against the wall. "I don't know what the hell that thing was, but it was tough. I'm... I'm glad you were there to help me out." He had never had anyone with him for a hunt, it had never occurred to him. But here was a girl who was not only okay with getting her hands dirty, she had watched him take a life and still seemed willing to spend time with him. He didn't understand any of that, but it was... nice, to have someone around.
"So, uhh. What do you think we should do now?" They needed to head home at some stage, but still wasn't even midnight and with little sleep he needed he could be out hunting for another few hours. But most other people still needed tehir eight to nine hours of rest, and he didn't want to keep her any longer than she wanted to stay. He sat there, watching her in silence with now reverting to their original colour. There was peace in what he saw, and he liked it.

Angel thought for a moment about Luke, " I should go home." She thought, " Mind you I should be following curfew and I don't feel like that either." She said leaning against the wall herself looking at the earth around her.
" I'm not usually like that." She said, " You know, how I was. It was weird, I couldn't stop."
She yawned, as she tried to remember the last time she slept, it had been more than a day for sure and she did feel a little tired she thought as her eyelids began to force themselves shut. A few moments later she found herself drifting off into a deep and comforting sleep, feeling safer out here with Adrian than what she did in her own bed at home.

She agreed then, the best thing would be to head home. Adrian had told mom and dad that he would be out studying with a buddy untill late, but that he'd try to be back before breakfast. They didn't like him sneaking around, least of all now with the demons and the curfew, but they hadn't tried to dissuade him. He would stay out a little longer, but first he would walk Angel home.
She spoke of before, when her eyes had turned black, telling him how much it wasn't her, the lack of control and everything. "Yeah, I know what you mean. I know what it's like to have to be in control all the time." She had leaned herself against the same wall he was sitting up against, it was nice. "So, uhh. Do you want me to walk you home?" He looked at her again to find that her eyes were closed and that he could hear breathe. She was leaning against him, resting her head on his shoulder, her face showed utter peace. It was a sight so adorable. "How can you trust me?" He whispered, gently running his fingers along her cheek and whisking an errant stand of hair back behind her ear, watching her in all her serenity. "When I don't even trust myself?" He leaned down and placed a careful kiss on her cheek. He was scared, scared of these new emotions and how he couldn't control them when she was there. Part of him wanted to leave her there, t orun away from the whole ordeal and pretend he had never met her. But more so, he wanted to maintain that warm, soft feeling. It had grown on him.
Letting his head come to rest lightly on top of her's , he closed his eyes and let himself slip into deep sleep. "You know," he half-whispered, putting his arm around her, feeling her warmth. "Before, I wished I hadn't met you, you've made everything so, so complicated." He gave a content little sigh and smiled at the scent of her hair. "But now, I'm glad I did." With that, he drifted off into sleep with her warmth in his embrace and her scent in his mind. He dreamed happy dreams that night.
