Little Tiffany was wandering around in the rotten woods of the demon world, mumbling a song that her mother had taught her as she tossed her feet on the ground lazily. The demon world could be really boring for a kid sometimes, especially when mom wasn't around and that she had no one to play with. At such times, Tiffany tended to mess with big bad demons and get herself into deadly trouble, to her mother's dissatisfaction. This time, Nevan had told her not to leave home while she was away, but Tiffany's little 7-year-old brain had already forgotten that warning.
Just then, she saw something and stopped. There was this handsome big demon beyond, sitting on the body of a dead tree, seemingly busy with something. Tiffany's eyes glowed, happy that she'd found a way to pass her time. She hid somewhere and started to watch the man curiously.

" Why can't you be more like your brother Roman? it had been a mere thought, a thought he had picked out of his father's head just hours before. He should have known better than to be ease dropping in his father's mind, after all he had been brought up to respect the thoughts of elders and with respecting meant not to use your powers against those older and wiser than you.
However how could he have resisted such a temptation that had been thrown his way, like a piece of raw meat sticking out in front of a starving dog. His father had been so happy today and that was a rare occasion now a days.
And what did he find? Well he found that Liam had bagged himself a hunter. Killed him and his entire family in one go, but the way his father went on about things, Liam had done off Van Helsing or something. Whatever. Roman thought, he'd someday kill himself a hunter and then bath in his- or her blood.
Roman let out a sigh, and then shifted as he repositioned himself on the tree that he placed himself on. In his hands he held a rather large and handsome lighter which he had been manipulating the flame that came out with every flick, stopping for a moment he turned his head, he could feel someone or something close by but ignored these feelings as he went back to playing with the fire.

When the man turned his head at her direction, Tiffany quickly bent down and hid behind the pile of dry branches on the ground. In a short while she looked back up carefully; he was still sitting there, unsuspicious. But the interesting part was that… Fire was coming from a strange accessorize held by the demon, and it seemed as if he could… manipulate it. Tiffany’s eyes widened with excitement. A fire demon! Her mother had once told her about those creatures and how dangerous they could be, but the fact was even more fascinating for the baby devil. She leaned forward to watch more closely, but the branches couldn’t take her weight anymore; Tiffany fell on her face as they cracked into pieces with sharp noises. Panicked, she looked up at the man from the ground fearfully; although a child, even she knew that running would be a hopeless attempt now. Her hair messy and her face dirty with mud, Tiffany quickly got up and stood before the handsome fire demon. She didn’t dare move a muscle, only her blue eyes which moved onto the man then the ground then him again as her little brain tried to find a way to get out of this.

" Huh?" Roman ceased fiddling with the lighter in his hands and turned towards the sound of snapping branches which laid on the earth's carpet. He didn't know at that moment what he was expecting to see, a hell fiend maybe. Or perhaps father coming to look for him, but neither were what he saw. Instead, staring back at him was a child.
" Hey there." Roman called out at the young girl who's eyes looked back at him. Slowly he got up from his warm seat until he was standing, cautiously watching the child as she looked upon him with some kind of intense fasination.
Roman chuckled, not his usual dark chuckle which he used to strike fear in others, but a warm one, one that gave off the idea that he was good and all was well. " Hey kid, you shouldn't be wandering around these woods. It's dangerous."
He warned as he approached the young girl as though he was trying to catch a scared kitten.

Tiffany stared at the demon's face in confusion. The demons she'd met around here before were mostly annoyed of her presence and tried to get her away, but this man was... smiling. A warm smile resembling her mother's. That was what prevented her from stepping back.
"Danger is fun." Tiffany said quietly, twisting her foot shyly. "Cuz I have no one to play with."
She kept silent for a moment and her eyes caught the handsome, fire-lighting device in the man's palm, barely seen now. Finally she gathered the courage to ask... "Can you... play with fire?"

Roman looked into the inquisitive eyes of the child who stared up at him. Then he looked down at the lighter in his hands and smiled warmly, " I don't just play with fire." He said pausing for a moment while he opened his palm.
Within the large hand, there danced a roaring hot ball of fire, " I can create it." He said, his hand now closing over the flame where it then disappeared from sight. " This here's just a fun little trinket I found up in the human world."
He knelt down in front of the child, taking in the intense red hair and the innocence of her large blue eyes. The child was thinking of someone, someone who Roman recognized only as the demon she was thinking about was famous in the demon world. She was thinking of Nevan, and then another word came attatched to that name, mother.
This brought a whole new set of questions storming to his head like a whirl pool, " Where's you mum?" He asked gently.

Tiffany jumped slightly and her eyes widened when a fire ball appeared in front of her face, in the stranger’s palm. She stared at the burning flame intensely, never losing interest for a couple of minutes. It was her first time being so close to the fire; for a child it was like a dream now but it was real. The waves of heat hitting her cheeks were the proof and it was a comfortable feeling, making her sleepy.
When the stranger closed his palm, Tiffany looked up into his eyes quickly as if just woken from a dream. The man knelt down and she continued staring deep into his eyes curiously until he asked a simple question. “Mom went to eat.” Tiffany answered, twisting her foot again. “She says the human world has good food.” Of course she had no idea that what Nevan actually meant as food, were the souls of men.
Her thoughts drifted back to the fire she’d just seen; she wanted to see it again, she wanted to play with it herself. Her eyes caught the fire device the man still held in his hand… She wanted it. She wanted it so badly. Even if the fire demon said something in between, Tiffany didn’t hear it; in an instant, she snatched the device from the man’s hand and started running.

Roman continued kneeling in front of the child, his eyes taking in the innocence of the child's. She seemed oblivious to the fact that her mother's choice of food happened to be human souls, something he felt a twinge of guilt for. Crouching here, Roman's memory was free to roam, he remembered being a child himself, to him humans were like a fairy tale, something he would not know until he was older that they truly existed.
Roman let out a chuckle one that didn't last long though as he felt the lighter he had been playing with being quickly snatched out of his hands and the little girl who was standing in front of him darted past him quickly.
Roman sighed and stood, he watched the child for a brief moment, giving her a head start. He smiled, any other time he would have just used his ability to just teleport in front of the child, but somehow this seemed more fun, so Roman began sprinting after the young child, the smile not leaving his face as he ran.
