It was a surprisingly good day out; it was just one of those days that one wanted to go outside to hang out with friends, go for a short stroll, or….go jogging around the old abandoned harbor. And that’s what Akeelah decided to do for the day. It gave her a reason to enjoy the outside world for an hour and it was decent exercise. It wasn’t everyday that she went out for a jog, a lot of her exercise she either did at home or in the other places she trained in. And what better place to do it than the harbor? The place was literally devoid of life just the way she liked it. She felt more comfortable exercising without anyone else watching her. Though there was the small chance of being attacked by some demon but she had a few concealed knives on her for self defense so that wouldn’t be much of a problem. Besides it was midday now and most of them wouldn’t be out and about yet, and those that were out were usually the weak ones. It wasn’t like she was going to run into a real challenge until later on at night.
The ocean view was also pretty nice she had to admit. Akeelah was never really the type of person that liked to look at nice scenery but even she could admire such things. Akeelah kept up a steady pace as she continued her run, keeping an ear out for trouble. After awhile she stopped for a few minutes to catch her breath, taking that time to look out at the ocean. I should really come out here more often. She thought, smiling a little as she admired the view. It was a nice place and all even if no one else had set foot in this spot for ages. Maybe if she was lucky enough she could find a place around the harbor to train in form time to time. That was of course if this place wasn’t too dangerous. The last thing she needed was to attract the wrong kind of attention, and judging by the young huntress’s luck as of late getting into trouble was a frequent problem. Still though there was a chance that she would be perfectly safe if she was careful. For now though this was good enough, so long as nothing disturbed her little moment of peace then she was content.
