Angel slammed the window which stood open in the hallway shut. She had just finished cleaning the house, a task which after the other night was made more difficult with the reminants of shattered glass which sat in piles around the house, however she did appriciate the task in itself, it took her mind off of the funeral today, she needed to keep busy, she had promised Uncle Rupert she would not go after Luke, not tonight anyway. This was troublesome to Angel, how could she just lie low and allow some demon in Luke's form run around disrespecting his image? She couldn't.
Storming off, Angel went to her bedroom, she looked around her and wrapped her arms around her torso which tonight was wrapped in a light blue tank top. She took note of her shadown which casted off of the walls, they were a light purple, her favorite color, it had been a while since she had taken notice to the room, and even longer since she had been completely alone within it's walls.
Picking her feet off of the wooden floors, Angel slowly made her way to the bed where she pulled back the covers, lied down and covered herself up with them. The fluffy comforter, white in color, wrapped around her locking out the cold from the room so that all she felt was it's warmth against her skin. She didn't take notice to how long she laid quietly in the bed, staring at nothing in particular before closing her eyes and leaving into a deep sleep......
(( Hours Later))
Angel awoken, she remained quiet as she took in her surroundings focusing on the smell of something down the stairs, pancakes. Yes that was it, she smelt pancakes being cooked, not just any kind though, but the ones Luke cooked, apple and cinnomin, when she went downstairs she would find a bottle full of syrup, coffee in her favoirite mug, and Luke. The last thing was impossible, but somehow Angel knew that if she went downstairs she would find Luke standing over the stove making breakfast.
Angel raced out of her room and stood on the top of the stairs looking down while her heart raced in anticipation of finally seeing Luke, although this thought made no logical sense at all as to why, or even how he was here, she felt a strong surge of excitement, like that of a child who was waking up on Christmas morning, that same magic lingered as she raced to the bottom of the stairs and turned left to where she was standing at the doorway of the small yellow, kitchen, where the very first thing Angel noticed was the fact that the shade was drawn closed.
" Hi Luke." Angel smiled at the entrance as she watched Luke fussing over the frying pan, it gave her a feeling of hope to stand and watch him there, even though he didn't seem to answer her. Angel's eyes wandered away from Luke and landed on the table where sure enough there stood on the nicely polished wooden surface stood a bottle of sticky maple syrup, her favorite mug, and a tall glass of some red colored liquid with the consitency of.... blood Angel froze on the spot, she shook her head at the silliness of her fear, her eyes quickly averted to the drawn shades in the kitchen making her wonder how, with those closed, and very little light coming in, could he even see his surroundings. " Here, let me get these for you." She said rushing over to the drawn shades, planting her hand on the string where she got ready to pull them up.

From the corner of his eyes, he could see Angel as she went to pull up the blinds. " Don't." He said abruptly, " I can see fine, the light is giving me a headache anyway, sit down." He turned with a plate of pancakes in his hand and walked over to the table where he placed them gently on the counter. Luke than walked over to Angel where he gently tugged at her, led her over the table, pulled out a chair and urged her once again to sit down while he went to his own seat and sat in front of the tall glass of red liquid.
" So, anything interesting happen lately?" He asked her feeling in high spirits today, so much so that he found it hard to hide the smile which formed across his face as he asked a random question, " Have you ever wondered what you are?" He asked Angel, his hand reached out across the table and found a piece of hair from her face, " Why you find it hard to control yourself, and well, the thing inside of you?"
Luke took another sip of his drink, " Uhg, O.B. negative." His face contorted in disgust, " No matter. We won't be here long." He said, his face going back to his pleasant smile, " We have places to go."

Luke's question was so sudden that Angel let out a cough as he asked it. Did he even stop to think when he opened his mouth, she wondered. What was more shocking than the question himself was the way he had asked it, so calm, so... cheerful, it certainly was different than the usually seriousness he had when they spoke. Angel took a bite of the pancakes sitting in front of her, ignoring the question all together, she wasn't all together sure she wanted to know what she was, no, it was better to not know.
She raised her brow as she looked at Luke's disgusted face, he was drinking blood?! She had noticed it when she had first gotten down here to the kitchen, but she had also wished she had been wrong. " Where are we going Luke?" She asked trying to brush off the growing tension she was beginning to feel. There was something defianetly wrong here and she shifted uncomfortably in her seat, setting the fork gently down on the table and looked onto him for his answer.

Luke looked up over his glass, he let out a chuckle, " Ah, it's just like you to ignore answering my questions kiddo. It's alright, we'll find out exactly what you are later." His eyes averted from Angel, to over the girl's shoulder, looking past her at something behind her. A shadow was growing, growing and expanding. It began to form into a large circle and Luke right away noticed it to be a large black whole. " I see." He said setting his glass down on the table and laying his blue eyes on his daughter who sat across from him. " Come." He said standing up and pulling Angel by the arm, " It's time, we must go."
They stood in front of the portal, cloud like smoke formed, vibrant they were with pink, blue, and amber hughs. Luke let out another chuckle, one which was dark, low and slightly deviously as he grabbed hold of Angel's hand. "We wouldn't want to find out what would happen if we lost each other in here." He said, his eyes narrowing.
Together they walked in, Luke basically having to force her into the portal, weather or not she had said anything more since the last time he spoke, he wouldn't know as he was too taken aback from the large black whole which seemed to have gone on forever.
They were almost there, although neither of them really knew where they were going, somehow Luke knew exactly where they were going to end up and that they were nearly there, just a little bit further and they would end up in a field full of flowers, the sun would be blazing down on there faces with a slight hint of a breeze to keep them cool. Angel would be startled at first when she would look down and see that the clothes she was wearing back at the house had changed, but the fear would be faded once she spotted the figure who sat in the middle of the field waiting for them to arrive.

Angel's face went slightly red and she kept her eyes lowered on the table, how could she of answered his question when she herself didn't actually know what she was. She didn't look up again, not until Luke tugged on her arm and pulled her up to stand beside him where she was now standing in front of what looked like a portal which was opening in the middle of her kitchen, it was this time, with Luke's chilling cold hands that Angel came to a realization. She shouldn't be standing here with Luke, he was dead.... Well sort of dead, what still remained of him was nothing more than a demon who shared the same figure. Nothing more, or nothing less. But still, Angel allowed this Luke to pull her into the portal.
" Where are we going?" She asked, as her eyes adjusted to the lack of light. They walked for what felt like forever in the eerie whole which brought a feeling of emptiness to Angel as she wandered through it. In reality though they hadn't been in the portal for too long before there was a spectrum of bright white light which slowly led them to a large field full of colorful flowers and long grass. Angel shielded her eyes from the sun, which rays covered her. A breeze blew which kept the would be hot sun from making it too hot, and lastly Angel smoothed her hand over her tank top only to feel the difference in the material she wore, a feeling so different she looked down at the clothing she was wearing, her pajama bottoms, and blue tank that she was wearing were gone and replaced by a long flowy white cotton gown, which was topped with white lace. Angel put a hand to the side of her head. There was a flower which she pulled out to see it's violet petals so delicate against her skin. She replaced the flower and opened her mouth in awe. " Where are we Luke?" She asked, she felt at peace, happy and completely intrigued by her surroundings.
In the distance, her eyes landed on something, no someone, the figure was definately a person. " Is that?" Angel smiled, she didn't need to ask who it was, she had a feeling she already knew.

They did not stop moving until they reached the brightly lit feel, he watched Angel's face light up like a child as they stood in amoungst flowers, her former clothing choice had changed, as did his own. He could only slightly hear the unfinished question when he watched her eyes soak in the scene spotting the woman who chose a seat in the middle of the field. " It's her kiddo." He chuckled, amuzed by the sudden change from her usual somber attitude, to the lit up child like innocence he had not seen for quite some time. " It's mum." was all he said before half pushing her to go further through the field.
When they arrived in front of her, Luke knelt down before the unnaturally quiet woman, their eyes locked, both knowing without words they were in a safe spot at the moment. Luke spoke again, " She can't speak right now." He said looking at Angel, she's been trapped for a while now and would like to show you something.
Luke took his hand and removed the hair from Angel's face, perhaps now, while he had the chance would be the best time to tell Angel, while they had the chance, " There's something I need to....." His voice trailed off, no, now was not the time, besides his brother was instructed to tell her, now that he was dead it was his brother's responsibility. "..... Never mind." He said instead. There was no reason in making this visit any longer than it needed to be anyway.
" Come Amy." He said holding out his hand for the mother of his child who sat mutely on the ground. She hadn't aged since he had last seen her, she was still the same twenty five year old that he was going to go and take with him on the night she died ten years ago, which was also the explanation for no aging.
" Alright, now that we have your mother, ready to leave?" He asked brightly as his eyes shone with true happiness, happiness that no one would have seen for quite a long time.

" Angel...." Alison crept in the unlocked door hoping to catch her BFF awake, wanting to hear if the rumors about Luke were true. " Angel." She called again, this time worried that there was no response. Alison looked up the stairs, the whole house was dark, Alison chuckled, maybe Angel was just asleep. Alison took a step forward, perhaps she'd just go upstairs and check on her, just to make sure. Afterall, it wasn't like Angel to leave the doors unlocked, so what the hell right?
She made it to the bottom stair step, jumping when she heard it creak, she had been doing that alot, jumping, getting startled with every bit of noise, it had been since she had gotten out of the demon relm, she really should have closed that open portal but at the time she didn't know how. Perhaps she'd ask Angel that one too. She thought as she took another step up the stairs, feeling more braver that she took another, until she took enough that she was finally standing in the dark hallway at the very top of the stairs.
Alison spotted Angel's door, closed tightly. She bit her lower lip as she stared at it, wondering if she should disturb her. Alison took a deep breath, she needed to know, if Luke was really a threat, if so she would be watching for him, to kill him, she did owe her BFF that at least. It was decided right then and there, she would go into the room, wake the sleeping girl inside up, get answers and then they would do something fun, Alison at least owed Angel that, after all, she had tried to kill her at school that one day.
Alison took more careful steps until she reached the door. She put her ear up against it so that she could hear what was going on inside but all she could hear was the wind from an open window blowing around the room. Alison checked her watch that sat delicately on her wrist. It was only ten in the evening, what was the girl doing asleep?
" Angel?" Alison pushed open the door and peered in, her eyes cutting through the darkness as she did so. She looked to the side, where the bed was sitting and smiled when she seen that Angel was fast asleep.
Another deep breath, and Alison was by Angel's side, her hands were laid on her shoulders and she was gently trying to push her awake. " Hey c'mon." She said gently. " Wake up."
There was no response, it was kind of disturbing. " C'mon." She tried louder, worried from the coldness of her friend's skin. " Angel?" She was becoming louder now. " Wake up." She demanded.

Angel knelt down in front of her mother, her eyes taking in the look on her face as she wondered what was wrong with her, thankfully though she didn't have to wonder for long as Luke had answered the unspoken question for her. His answer left her in a pool of confusion as she took into wondering how her mother was trapped, and she vowed as she looked into her eyes that she would somehow, someday break her free of whatever it was keeping her here.
She didn't know how long it had been that she sat here in the same spot with her knees digging into the grass below them before Luke had both her and her mother on their feet, where he was taking them, Angel did not know.
As they walked, Angel noticed something, the clouds in the once clear sky were growing darker, threatening to steal the sun away. It was odd, Angel thought, how quickly the weather changed, one minute it was cheery and bright, the next there was a storm brewing. The weather- It was a lot like life that way.
They wondered further, the clouds in the sky were growing until now they were almost black, it gave the field an eerie and unnatural feeling to it, like there was more than just the weather at play. It felt as though they were crossing enemy territory and that they were very unwelcomed here. " Luke, what's going on?" she asked feeling fear from somewhere deep inside her as her eyes searched for whoever was responsible for taking the sun.
From the distance she could see someone, the figure was too far away too get a clear see clearly. Angel looked at Luke, fear taking over her, there was something burning and when she looked over the horizon, she could see the small farm house in which she used to live swallowed by a raging fire. Angel looked onto Luke again, the image terrifying as she did so; mom and dad, their faces once clear were now mirroring the fire from beyond. " NO." Angel screamed.......
Angel sprang up to a sitting position, Alison was hovering over her, bidding her to awaken from her slumber, she was dreaming, Luke, her mother, the peaceful aura, and the house of fire, all nothing but a dream. A vivid, terrifying nightmare nearing the end of the pictures she had seen there deep within the slumber. " Alison?!" Angel's voice was small as she spoke, but her gaze remained distant, not truly seeing anything, just a strange darkness, and the image of the buring embers of flames. There was something about this dream that told Angel it was something more, but what she didn't know.

Alison stared down at Angel with concerned eyes before sitting on the side of her friend's bed. With a gentle hand she ran her fingers through Angel long black strands of hair, an act in which she did trying to soothe the girl. " What were you dreaming about in that head of yours?" She asked inquizitively. Must have been one hell of a dream. Alison thought as she moved her hand to her slender shoulder, rethinking about asking anything about Luke. Now probably wouldn't be the right time anyway. Instead she allowed the growing silence remain, feeling a twinge of guilt for her actions in the past. The feeling was nothing a little bit of the green and forty ouncer of the captain wouldn't fix- later though. Right now she would focus on making her BFF feel a little bit better.
Biting her lower lip, Alison put a hand on the back of Angel's head and gently guided it to her shoulder. She didn't bother trying to break the silence, what was she supposed to say? " Yeah, sorry your dad died?", words would just seem too insensitive for the moment, plus, Alison wasn't good at sensitive. So instead, she sat through it, happy that at least she could be here for her without having Angel run her out of the room.
Alison knew by no means would Angel have forgotten about the actions of the past that she had played out so carelessly, but maybe, if she showed her BFF that she was trying to change, there would be a chance that they could get along again. Like what they did before all the crazy shit started happening, it would be a long shot, but maybe.... Just maybe.

Against her instincts that screamed at her to run away, Angel allowed Alison's attempts of comfort. Even going so far as to leaning her head against her friend's shoulder, taking in the smell of smoke, which would eventually lead to her lighting up a smoke to calm her aching nerves. " Have you ever had a dream that felt so real, even though it was impossible, it still had that realness, every touch, every voice......" Angel trailed off, she sounded crazy right now. She knew it. But still, it didn't stop the terrible feelings that something very bad was soon too happen, this was a feeling she wished she could shake off.
