Angel watched Roman nervously as his face retorted into that of a sadistic criminal who just broke himself out of jail. He seemed to be getting worse the more Adrian and the woman crept closer to him. She took a deep breath and cleared her mind, she had a plan, one that if she could get past Roman she may be able to at least take Roman down a notch in order to give the other two an even fight.
Finally, as she overlooked the scene, trapped behind Roman and the wall, Roman surprised her by disappearing. She looked up to where she heard his voice. He had reappeared on the top of the stairwell, where he concentrated on the others, the evil shimmer still radiating from his eyes, he was now towering over them.
She stood not knowing if now was the best time to turn and dodge down the stairs, she watched the other two, for a moment, she would need to wait until Roman was completely engaged in fight before she would be able to leave the spot she was rooted.

Roman vanished before she could land a hit and Akeelah had to force herself to a halt before she drove her blade into her partner instead. Luckily for Adrian she stopped in time, her weapon only inches away from striking him instead. And lucky for her she was too small for him to hit her with his knife at the angle he was going. Akeelah looked around quickly in search of the demon and spotted him above them. This guy is just full of surprises isn’t he? she thought bitterly. He was quick and he could warp too, this would be a really annoying fight.
She let out a low growl as he beaconed to them. It was obvious what he was doing, he was toying with them. He thought that they weren’t much at all and would take his time with them till he got bored with it. Well Akeelah would do her damned hardest to make him see otherwise. She ran up towards him as fast as she could, moving to avoid colliding into Adrian or the other girl and went in for another stab. Adrian had to exert his will to prevent himself from sliding the blade lower when his target fled yet again, he would not spill the blood of the one who had agreed to help him. He heard Roman chuckle from the top of the stairs and, without thinking, leapt and crawled up along the walls with inhuman alacrity, reaching through the steps and grabbing for Roman's ankle, yanking it in an effort to pull it through the gap between the steps.
What he was doing was probably quite unwise, given that his new ally knew nothing of his powers or their origin, not that he knew the later either. He hated Roman for more than a few reasons, primarily for what he had done to Angel, but also because of that nagging feeling, that perhaps he, Adrian, too was a demon. It was a thought that had nagged at him since he had discovered the existence of these foul beings, and now he would take it all out on this conveniently placed demonic punch-/douche-bag.[rand=712984118741751317016072111135153513017936241997413192241047812]

[dice=6] Roman hadn't exactly been expecting a fight this evening. His plan had been to come here and kill the hunter named Luke. Unfortunately for Roman, someone had already beaten him to the punch, however he was pleasantly surprised that Angel had done something that was brave, and very very stupid at the same time, she had come home, it was the last place he would have expected her to come, but if it hadn't of been for these two idiots who decided they would come and interrupt, he would have taken the girl back to the his Island where he could have been alone with her and able to take her greedily for himself, weather it be against her will or not.
Roman gritted his teeth at this thought, as he watched the smaller of the two hunters running towards him, her weapon was drawn and he was sure she was about to attack. That was when at the same time, he felt a very hard and tight grip on his ankle. Roman looked down, his eyes had landed on Adrian's hand which clenched there. He felt him tugging hard and the initial shock had distracted him from the oncoming attacker as he tried to shake it free. " Get off me." Roman roared loudy in frustration as the pest clung there while he held onto the railing to brace himself from falling over.[rand=668252321711313717891087218806417991396603363526229496840291281384]

Angel looked at Roman who now had both Adrian and the woman who accompanied him running towards him. She felt a calm come over her, despite the circumstance, with Roman engaged in combat it would give her time; she just needed to get past the obsticle the demon created just by standing there and make it to her room where she would be able to find what she was looking for quickly. That was if Luke didn't find and clear out all her spell books.
She looked down as Roman yelled out to be let go. Looking down she seen Adrian's hand gripping around the demon's ankle. It was the perfect time Angel thought as she prepared herself to race up the stairs. She looked up at Roman once more, forcing her nerves to stay steady, Right....Now She thought stupidly and ran up to the top of the stairs where she was able to race right past Roman who still seemed to be struggling with Adrian.
Angel's room was two doors down the hallway, the first door being Luke's slightly larger master bedroom. She was across the hall from the bathroom where in the middle sat the window where Adrian must have came in judging by the curtain blowing as it was caught by the wind. Angel thought for a moment, she wondered ( Rather guilitly) when Luke had fixed the once broken window, and pushed the trivial thought from her mind, it was somthing she would never know now. She thought as she pushed open the door to the large purple room.
If it was any other circumstances, she would have enjoyed entering this room, her room, but there was no time to be making herself settled at home, she needed to get this spell done before Roman quit playing around with Adrian and his friend.
Finally after some searching she found the book, in the meantime, she gladly found herself forming into what she considered to be her other form. This was the first time she was glad the change controled her, she could feel the powers becoming more intense everytime she found herself in dangerous situations, and this particular one wasn't a pleasant one for sure.
Angel opened the book and hovered her hand over it's old worn pages, it had belonged to her own mother and before that was passed by her grandmother. It was a family heirloom from what she was told as the pages began to flutter by stopping at the spell she had considered using before, it was a draining spell, she would read the spell in this form and..... Great, she would need to get close enough to Roman to lay her hand on his skin, she was sure he would enjoy that.
Angel read over the spell, if this worked Roman would be weakened to the point that Adrian or the woman would surly be able to knock him down at least enough to injure him badly and keep him away enough to let her get some much needed rest.[rand=127721032804458356774834976775166491022317674314156534214785543808]

Out of the corner of her eyes Akeelah saw Adrian moving and almost stopped in her own advance in disbelief. Was he crawling on the wall? She had thought he was a human but no human could pull off something like that. That meant that she was wrong, and that meant that she had a problem. Her partner wasn’t human, for all she knew he was probably a demon and it was her duty to kill him if that were the case. But right now she was already in a fight with a demon so she couldn’t do anything about him, and she needed his assistance right now. Turning on Adrian now was not a good idea, for now she needed to focus on their current problem. She would have to deal with Adrian later.
Her focus went back over to their opponent who now thanks to Adrian was distracted. She took the advantage to strike, taking her weapon she would plunged it into his gut and twist it once it was embedded into his flesh to increase the pain. She knew that it wouldn’t kill him but it would hurt enough to slow him down further so they could get rid of him faster. They needed to take him down quickly to give the girl he was after time to escape. Akeelah didn’t want to risk putting the girl in danger any longer, she didn’t know what Roman wanted with her but whatever it was could not be good. A bestial smile spread across Adrian's face as he felt his fingers close around Roman's ankle, and the following struggle only saw it grow. He had the bastard now, he would make him suffer. As Akeelah head up the stairs in a much more conventional manner than either he or Roman had takn, Adrian let go of the stairs, his entire weight now resting around Roman's ankle whilst Adrian's free hand reach for his knife and jamme it into he demon's joint with all his might. Adrian was well aware that he might fall, but it didn't matter. The sudden increase in weight might well pull Roman off balance and if that didn't, Adrian was certain that his trusty knife would do the job. If Roman fell then his one leg would become painfully trapped between the steps and probably break under Adrian's weight. Regardless, it should be much easier for Akeelah to plant her strikes efficiently now.

Roman cursed under his breath, he had gotten himself in one hell of a situation here, one in which he was going to have to put up a fight to get out of . And to think, things were going so smoothly before these two got here. Roman glared at the girl before him, who seemed to come out of her brief moment of a seemingly confused state. She was running towards him up the stairs, that bloody blade pulled out ready for the attack. We'll see. Roman thought, watching her come, at that same instant, he felt Adrian as he seemed to become something heavy tied around his ankles.
Roman struggled, he realised a dead end when he came across from one, and he was quick to know he was in one as the huntress' knife found it's mark in his stomache while he felt another painful twinge in his ankle from the punk's own blade.
Roman let out a roar of pain, the sting would have been enough, if he had been less determined, to knock him off his feet, but Roman still continued bracing himself erect, his demon rage rising as he allowed himself to be taken under their attacks.

Angel watched Roman struggling on the spot where he stood. She looked down at the open book which laid flat in her hands, a chill ran down her spine as she looked down at the words written in black ink. It was all written in Latin, a language which normally she wouldn't understand but now, they seemed to make perfect sense to her as the voice inside her head willed her to read.
" Matris of Terra, sanctimonialis of sol solis, tribuo mihi thy manus, Emundo immunda. " Her voice, although her own, came out like that of a stranger as she read the slender written words that popped out from the page. She could feel it working. The book dropped from her hand as the spell took it's affect, she felt like she just finished a powerful dose of some sort of drug as her body began shaking and the hidden power inside of her willed her to inch bravely towards Roman who stood on the stairs.
She could feel the heat radiating from his form, it was the form of a killer, no matter how human he tried to pass himself off as, and she was about to drain at least some of the killer's energy from him. She thought as she reached for the back of his head with her now outstretched hands going towards him like magnets with a resolve she had never felt before.
As her fingertips found their mark, she felt an energy flow through her like she had never felt before, Roman's demonic powers flowing through her veins. She could feel the fire inside of his soul, singing inside of her, and although the outside of her was fine and untouched, she felt as though she just declared war on herself. She needed to stop. It was too much for her, even in the form, his power still over powered her own. And what made it much worse was she could hear them. She could hear the voices inside of her head from everyone around her all talking at once.

There was a strong feeling of satisfaction as her blade finally hit its mark. She almost smiled as he cried out in pain but she tried to keep herself from feeling too thrilled about her success. The fight wasn’t over yet, it was far from over. Just because they were doing good now did not mean that they could kill Roman. Akeelah wasn’t sure how different a demon capable of taking on human shape was. The only one she knew that was capable of that was the monster that murdered her family and that demon was powerful, who knew what this one here was capable of. There was also the issue of Adrian; now that she knew that he wasn’t human she had doubts about his loyalties. It was obvious that he wouldn’t deliberately screw with his chance to kill Roman but after this demon was dead what would he do with her?
Now’s not the time for doubts, just end this mess quickly and deal with that later. she reminded herself. Akeelah came here for one reason and one reason only. To eliminate a possible threat and maybe in the process find information on her family’s killer. First things first, Roman needed to be weakened enough so she could interrogate him and afterwards she would leave him to Adrian. She just needed to get him to that point. And in the position he was in the duo were doing a pretty damn good job of it. Akeelah got ready to strike again when she spotted the girl they were trying to protect out of the corner of her eye.
Or at least what used to be the girl. That being had transformed while she was distracted and the transformation caught the hunter off guard. Akeelah moved back as the other girl went to work on Roman. She couldn’t help but just stare at the scene in disbelief. Twice in the same night she had made a fatal mistake, she mistook both Adrian and this girl as humans and possibly put her own life at risk because of it. What if that girl was on Roman’s side, would she even see that coming if that woman turned on her? And what about Adrian? She was confused; she didn’t even know what to do anymore. This was too much to take on all at once and at a time like this it was not good to let confusion overwhelm her.
“When this is over someone better tell me what the fuck is going on.” She growled loud enough that even Adrian could hear her. She had half a mind to kill the lot of them on the spot but she wasn’t stupid. As long as Roman was alive they wouldn’t turn on her, afterwards she wasn’t too sure and right now she wasn’t willing to turn this into a three on one fight. For now she would watch the girl drain the demon, ready to spring back into action the second he tried to retaliate. This was going to be a long night.

A thin smile spread across Adrian's lips as he heard Roman's cry of pain and anger, twisting his knife in the wound for good measure. Finally, he had his attention, and he was going to make him suffer for everything. Roman was doing a remarkable job at keeping himself steady, even now, and so Adrian decided to add further to his disruptions. He began swinging, left to right, right to left, over and over and faster and faster, adding to the momentum. Something else was assailing Roman now, though Adrian's current position did not allow him to see this. All his weight was now resting on Roman, one hand around his ankle and the other on the knife that was stuck in the ankle, slowly twisting the later. This was going to be great.

Roman felt like something was probing him inside of his head as he felt the hands being placed their, sticking to him like some sort of a leach, at the same time he could feel the knife being dug in deeper, which hurt the most he did not know. " GET OFF ME." he roared out to both Adrian and Angel, as he felt a sudden weakness while his energy began to drain from his veins. Roman felt the threat, while down below he felt the heavy dead weight down below as the boy off his anke began to swing, throwing off his balance while the knife still stuck into him.
It was then Roman made the mistake of pulling his hand which braced him upwards, off of the banister, he put his hands up to his head and had to peel the hands which held him in place off of him, the exact moment that he felt the relief from his head, he began to sway forward, and in a quick second he felt himself fall forward so that he was now at the huntress' feet, while his leg got caught between the stairs totally at Adrian's mercy.

Angel's grip tightened around Roman's head, she ignored the rising heat generating from him as she stood there draining his powers taking them unto her. She wondered how long this would last, there was no way that any creature was strong enough to defend himself against all three of them, could he? She thought to herself, feeling as it seemed her answer was almost answered. She felt Roman peeling her hands from his head, breaking the connection, not something she liked, she wasn't sure if she took enough energy from him.
Angel looked to Akeelah who yelled out, she wished she could hear her voice clearly through the other sounds going off in her head. Stay in control of yourself. a warning voice told her, momentairly cutting through the others that screamed from the inside of her mind.

She watched the pathetic creature scream to be released while the other two dealt with him, just bidding her time before she took the chance to end this if she could get that far. From the looks of things everything was going pretty well and quickly at that. The girl had a strange power, one that Akeelah couldn’t fully understand but whatever she was doing was weakening Roman at an alarming rate. It was as if she was draining him of his strength, a trick useful for this battle she could only hope that the effect would last long enough.
Still Roman fought back but was only capable of pulling the other girl away from him before finally falling to the floor. The second that Roman fell Akeelah was back on the move, she kicked him hard in the head to inflict more pain and then while he was distracted by the new pain she would get on top of him, keeping him firmly pinned down to the ground. Her free hand would reach out to roughly yank his hair and pull his head back, exposing his throat and held her knife to his throat. She was now in the perfect position to kill him. One wrong move and she could slit his throat, no; better yet she could cut off his head. Beheading was a little more brutal but she had no problems doing it if she had to, it was better to be safe than sorry but she wasn’t going to do that, not now. There was something that she needed first and with the demon in such a weakened state now was the best time to do it.
“You lost this fight demon, but before I end your life I have a question to ask.” she told the fiend, “Nine years ago one of your kind hunted down a hunter family and slaughtered them. He was capable of taking on a human form just like you, and had power over fire. Do you know who that is?” It was a stab in the dark, Akeelah knew the chances were slim but she had to try it. This demon though he wasn’t familiar to her might have some relation to the one who took her family, if this was the only chance she had to find any information on him by god she would take it.
“Depending on your answer you might be lucky enough that I kill you quickly. But if you choose to piss me off I’ll leave you to my friend who is hanging onto your leg, I am sure he will be far more cruel than I’ll ever be.” She wasn’t kidding; this creature was not leaving this place alive tonight and she wasn’t going to give him any promise of freedom. If it had any common sense it would answer her now and let her end this quickly. If he chose to struggle like it or not she would finish him off where he was, like hell she would risk him slipping away now.

Adrian's face split in glee as he felt his target stumble and his weight successfully pulling the leg through the tiny gap. He clung on at the sudden stop by virtue of the same ability that allowed him to climb walls, ripping his knife from Roman's ankle and setting to work instead on the rest of the leg. He planted several calculated strikes at the veins and tendons in the thigh and then set to work on removing the kneecap, all the while swinging back and forth in the hopes of dislodging the leg all together. Finally, he had Roman in a position where he could hurt him and he would gain as muh pleasure from that as he could before his inevitable demise.
