Smoothing her knee length red silk dress out, Rose stopped in front of the opera house. A slight breeze tried to push itself up against her already iced cold skin as her dark eyes which were a total contrast up against the paleness of her flawless pale skin, scanned to the top of the opera house. To most, the building, with it's magnificent brick extirior and it's handsome seemingly handcrafted staind glass windows would have been breath takingly beautiful, however to Rose it seemed a bit boring compared to some of the other architecture she had seen in her long lifetime.
Rose shrugged her bare shoulders, as she ran a hand through her dark brown lightly curled hair, and pushed through the large double doors of the opera house where she was greeted by the site of a full house, everyone gathering about, their heads bowed murmuring words, probably worshiping whatever it was they worshiped, none of them noticing, or even aware of the fact how crazy they were driving the souther bell who had just stepped in, just by being there.
As she walked, more so glided through the green carpeted isle she had to force herself not smell, in fear of not being in control of herself, she wasn't used to this, being around humans. For a long time she had kept herself secluded in the south, she had resided in texas for those long drawn out years, it had been from the 1950's to now. She had picked up the accent during her stay there, but she tried her damndest not to mingle with the humans only living off of whores, and dirty street walkers, or bottled blood that was donated from those who worshiped the vampires, wanting nothing more than to be ravaged by them, wanting to exchange their souls for one that lasted for all eternity.
These were the humans she despised the most, for being a vampire, yes had its benifits. There was no need to go see a doctor when injured, for the fact they quickly healed, and the grocery bill was cheaper due to the fact the only thing a vampire ate was blood. But as always, like anything in life being a vampire had it's down side. There was a lingering longing to step outside in the light of day, to feel the sun on her face on the sand of the beach. She wanted to be able to be close to humans, the ones that walked the streets in the day, not the ones that lurked at night, but alas, she knew, from not only her own experience, but from the words of her maker that this was a foolish notion, and a more so foolish dream, one which that would never be within her grasp for the night walkers and regular every day beings would never mix at least not in a reality she would be a part of.

A somber faced Luke pushed through the doors of the Opera House, he looked around at the faces in the room, their heads all bent down in prayer and worship whilst listening to the sound of a singer who performed a sweet and soft melody in which Luke would usually find soothing and comforting, however tonight he had found it to stir up emotions of sadness and longing.
Tonight he would not be working, he would simply be there surrounded by others who only wanted the simplicity that peace offered. His tortured mind worried, he hadn't seen or hear tell of his daughter for what felt like a life time now and he had some time to think about it and knew that what she was being accused of couldn't be true, there was something at work here, he could feel it, but at the same time he needed to see her, just long enough to confirm it, to put his mind at ease so he knew that she was alright.
His preoccupied mind was quickly averted to the attention of pair of gossiping old women, both staring at a rather tall and slender woman at the side of the room. " I've never seen her in town before. She seems like she's going to be trouble." one woman said to her friend who sat beside her.
Luke followed the trail their eyes made towards the target of their words. He had to admit, she did seem out of place, and there was something hauntingly beautiful about the pale skin which was wrapped in delicate red silk. She was flawless beyond comparison, but also very foolish, everyone who walked into this city were forewarned about the demons that lurked here, it was only those who were non believers, or those who just didn't care. The woman seemed like neither of those so he wondered what it was the fair creature was doing here.

Rose didn't need to be standing close to hear the chatter amongst the town's people. They were gawking at her, she could feel their eyes watching. Some of the older ones where talking about her in ways she didn't think old folks talked now adays. Rose just smiled, she had a nasty habit of attracting attention anywhere she went, after all, from the reputation this town got, they all probably thought they'd never in their lifetime see a new face among their streets.
Oh, how very wrong y'all are. She thought wickedly as she knew for a fact they were about to see a whole gang of new people once they hear about this town. A whole new set of people who only came out at night, preying on the blood pulsating through the very veins of the idiots who dared came out at night. Rose's head turned to the other side of the room, where she heard the gossiping of two old women in paticular, as she did this her eyes briefly caught the eyes of a rather handsome looking man who looked good enough to eat, at this thought Rose had to stifle a laugh. She wasn't here to feed, she was here to see what she could find out about someone. A man she had been searching for, for almost a century now and she was sure, if he was the same man she knew back then he would clearly love to be here to play with the townsfolk, to cause them as much terror as he used to. However if he didn't show up tonight, then maybe someone else heard of him, she was sure that someone would have gotten wind of Liam by now. After all he wasn't the type to just sit down and behave him self. It just wasn't in his nature to do so, part of the reason she longed to be near him again.

This was probably one of the more reckless, irrevocably dangerous ideas she had come up with. And on Angel's scale that reached up to a number of things in her short lifespan. However at the same time, this would defiantly be worth it, noble even, especially in an act so dangerous that it may save a life. If she was right (this time she hoped she wasn't), Roman's warning meant something. He was going to go after someone she loved, and what better way to weaken her than to go after the one man she considered her father. Someone who for seventeen long years had supported her unconditionally, who took the time to even train her, and taught her how to defend herself.
Her mind raced ;how did Roman know about her and Adrian? She wondered. But those thoughts were quickly pushed aside as she managed to reach the most Opera House. Seeing it, the upright building, with it's peak that almost seemed to reach the sky as though it was a stair way to heaven gave her a calm which was short lived as her eyes spotted the guards that were stratigically placed around the front entrance, a fact she would almost put money on that no one else noticed.
Angel needed a diversion, and a quick one. She eyed the guards in their upright stance from around a corner where she concealed herself in the cloak of darkness that the night provided. Closing her eyes she thought back, she remembered the night in the Forest, when she came across the man who, she was sure would have killed her if he had of caught her. She had then, managed to throw her form to him, what if she could do the same here.
Slowly she concentrated on projecting that part of herself towards the guards. Then she opened her eyes to see that it had worked, a mirror image of herself pranced right in front of a tall burly man who immediately called for the others to help him, leaving a window of oppurtunity for Angel to dodge unnoticed past the lot of them, where she paused for a moment before pushing through the large heavy doors.
Gasps from the towns people as she very noisly entered the building of usually peaceful worship. She suspected that none of them would have thought they would see her here again in their lifetime. But she ignored the intruding eyes, some glaring at her, others seemed genuinely saddened by her presence. Get a life. she thought as her eyes finally landed on the one person she had been hoping to see. Luke, who slowly turned around, making her heart skip a beat as their eyes met, was now staring at her, quickly aware of her presence.

He was looking upon the stained glass window, it was strange at how alone he felt in this room full of people. He heard something, a call from the outside from the guards voices as one of his men let made it known that he needed assistance. He ignored this, he was off duty and needed to wind down. This was becoming a difficult task however as an outbreak of people who surrounded him all looked back at the door that was seemingly forcefully pushed open and an outbreak of murmuring voices began all at once.
" I can't believe my eyes." the old woman who had taken into talking about the foreign woman before had said in awe to her friend. This was all Luke had heard coming out of the gossiping voice as he slowly turned around only to view a familiar face.
His heart felt as though he had a dagger plunged through it, as she stood there before him. His first instinct was to run to her, like any father would. To wrap his arms around her and cradle her like he had done when she was younger. Instead he stood there, frozen with shock. Behind her a guard ran in his weapon raised ready to attack, Luke put his hand up to yield him. He would not let any physical harm come to the girl he had raised.
Luke forced himself to take a step forward, the people around him stared at his movements like the two were some television show that they weren't able to take their prying eyes off of. He ignored this as he gained the control over his legs so now he was positioned, standing tall in front of the slender girl. The first thing he noticed was the paleness of her skin, and the tired blue eyes which dug the knife which plunged into his heart a little deeper.
There was a twinge of something, guilt he supposed as he took his hand and placed it onto her face. She was cold, he noted as his hand wandered, making sure she was real, that it wasn't some cruel trick of the mind making him think that his daughter had returned to him. There was no words spoken as he grabbed her and wrapped his arms in a tendar motion around her. " Are you alright?" He whispered into her ear so low that know one would even be able to hear that he was speaking.

Rose couldn't help but follow the suit of the others as she turned around to see yet again another potential dinner course walked in, or maybe she would be dessert. She thought as the overwhelming urge to feed came over her. She forced herself to focus on the scene. The girl, who had just entered couldn't be any older than she was when she was changed, it was a night that would forever be etched in the back of her mind, for as long as her immortal life.
Judging by the way the two edged forward, the man whose blood she thought about just moments before had some connection with the child, he had the same look her own father would get everytime he would come back from war when Rose had been much much younger. This stirred so many memories, some painful, others ones she would cherrish.
She couldn't help but to smile as she watched them embrace, such bittersweetness in his voice as she heard him whisper in her ear. It seemed though, judging by the guard who stood just inches away though was about to attack against the orders of the man. She would just have to wait and watch if this happened.

Angel felt a familiar weakness as Luke's arms flung around her. She was that same little girl he had rescued years ago. She felt herself leaning into him, clinging to him as though she was a child again. She could feel the tears which began to betray her as they began releasing themselves while he asked a simple, innocent question, "Are you alright?" He had asked her in a low voice as a moment of tiring relief came over her.
She released the arms that fell around him and looked up at him, wiping her eyes with the sleeve of her sweater. " I came here to warn you." She said, she could feel the eyes still staring, watching their every move. Probably awaiting her to attack so they'd have stories to tell once they left.
She didn't know where to start, " Roman...." She muttered feeling an aggrivating fluster of emotion. This was overwhelming, it was too much. The people, the guards who stood behind her awaiting their chance to attack. There was nothing she felt she could say at the moment. What was she supposed to do, jump into her long story about how she had sex with a demon and now he's stalking her?
She thought for a moment, actually that made perfect sense, at least it sound alright in her head, if only she had time to practice saying it out loud before she spoke.

He felt the tired frame lean against him, as he did so he looked up into the expecting face of a guard. He knew what the look meant as soon as he seen it. His eyes averted to the ground as soon as he seen it. He wasn't ready to let her go, not yet.
He remembered a conversation he had with the men, not so long ago. They were to kill all who broke the law. They needed to do so due to the sensitive nature the town was in. He back than, had thought he was ready to do so after finding out about the girl he was now holding in his arms. But now that she had come to him, he was uncertain, not just about what he was expected to do. But about a lot of things.
He felt her push him away, as she began speaking in a hushed voice. She mumbled a name, Roman she had said.
It was enough, it was a name that rung a bell in his so confused mind. One which he had heard before. Roman had been the man who had went to their house, he was the one who had told him about the murder. He shuddered as he thought about that day, and waited, she had said she needed to warn him about this Roman character.
He stood there patiently, giving her the time as she wiped off her tears. His eyes averted to the guard who stood behind them. This time seeing something that filled his veins with rage as he seen the gleam coming from the hand gun he had in his hands pointed directly at her. Luke glared. " Take your time." He said to her, his blue eyes not moving from the gun. His jaw clenched as he seen the guard's finger on the trigger whilst his heart beat furiously within his chest. Angel wasn't speaking, this was making matters worse. He needed her to speak, he needed to take his mind of the guard's finger on the......
BANG
The gun had thundered inside of the building and was zooming towards Angel at great speeds. Luckily Luke had great reflexes, he pushed Angel away with great force, it was only a split second afterwards did he feel the tiny piece of metal lodging into him, and an even shorter amount of time when he felt himself hitting the ground hard.

The gun echoed like thunder going off in the air. The man had been shot and was now laying on the ground. Rose's head turned upwards to view the man who had fired the killing blow as the scent of the spilled blood turned her craving to fill her hunger into her own personal insanity. This was not good, not good at all. She could feel a knawing feeling eat at her. If she could she would have crawled out of her skin right then and there. Luckily though she had learned more self control of others of her kind, that she stood there, still as stone.
Chaos broke out in the Opera House, the town's folk were breaking out in histarics as what seemed to be a leader in their town was hit. To the naked eye, all the mortals in the room, the act had happened so fast it looked as though the guard had been aiming for the fallen hero the whole time. However Rose was no normal human, her perception was somewhat quicker than those brain process of a regular human. She had watched the noble act of the guard aiming the gun at the daughter the whole time, and then watched as he heroically pushed her out of danger. His reward was death... Unless....
A thought came to her as she looked at the others around them, the fallen man seemed as though he may make a great ally in her venture to this strange new land. She would have no problem, unless he was already dead, in changing him as the crowd was too proccupied with their seeming riot against the guard.
Something else had hit her as she stood there eyeing the crowd. When she was listening to the hushed voice coming from the girl, she was sure she heard the name Roman, there was only one person she had known named Roman, and she wondered if they were the same.

Luke's hands pushing her away had took her by surprise as she landed against one of the wooden benches where she needed to brace herself to keep herself upright. She was slightly confused by the loud thundering blast that went off behind her, and instinctivly turned to look at the poor man who held a gun in his shaking hands. She looked at him cautiously. " Thanks Luke." She said turning her head slowly to look upon Luke.
She didn't need to see herself to know the color had all bled out of her face, leaving an ashy grey tone. The scene before her wasn't real, she would refuse to believe it as her eyes looked upon the man who had saved her life- again. " LUKE." She let out a scream and fell to her knees by his side, gripping one of his limp hands while her other tried to shake him awake. " Luke.... Luke...c'mon, stop playing." She pleaded with him, she realized how quickly tears were flowing as Luke laid there, non responsive, not moving as there was no signs of him waking up. People were staring, and to make matters worse, she could feel it digging at her, wanting her to release it as she realized what had happened. That bullet had been meant for her.
There was a twinge of guilt. As she looked back at the rioting crowd, she needed to run, to get out of here. Every aching second passed by was that much closer to the demon inside of her taking over. If she didn't get out of here right now, it would only cause that much more trouble.
Angel dropped Luke's hand and watched it as it fell limply onto the floor. As she got up and turned around she forced herself threw the crowd, pushing people out of the way, probably harder than she needed to. Finally, she got through the tidal wave of people, and reached the doors. She looked back at the guard who had made the killing blow and shook. The thing inside of her threatened to reveal itself as she pushed through the doors and ran to the side of the building where she could conceal herself.
She felt herself changing as soon as she was out of site. This time, instead of being afraid of it, she relished it. Even somewhat appriciated it as she leaned her back towards the building something hit her. Silence. Even though the crowd coming from inside was loud, all she heard was silence as she became overtaken with shock.

Rose was about to lunge forward to the fallen before the daughter beat her to it. She cursed under her breath and eagerly watched for the girl to move away from the man. Finally after what felt like an angonizing century she let go of her old man's hand, she watched, someone pitying the poor girl as Angel began to run despartely through the crowd. Rose's eyes averted to the man who laid by himself on the floor and smiled.
She looked at the rest of the crowd who were too proccupied with laying into the poor guard. Rose shrugged this off. It was none of her concern what happend to the guard, she thought as she gracefully glided forward towards the warm smell of his blood.
Kneeling down, Rose turned her head upwards towards the other people in the room with her. This was beautiful, there was no one even paying attention to the body laying on the floor while she listened intently.
Thump... Thump...
She could here it, ever so faintly, the beating of his heart as he laid on the floor, pressumed dead. If she was going to change him, she would need to be careful how much blood she drained from his veins, she thought as two sharp pointed teeth protruded from her jaw quickly.
She gave another look around, it was safe, she could bite. Rose slowly pulled the man's wrist up to her already blood red lips. The pearly white teeth sank into him, he would be unaware the slight pain as she began draining the sweetened blood red wine that poured from his veins into her mouth. God, he tasted good. she thought as she took in the nectar, being sure not to make a mess of her face.
She pulled her mouth away from his wrist and then looked around again, still no attention was being brought to her, Rose put her own wrist up to her mouth and made an inscision, she then took the bleeding wound and held it up to Luke's mouth, not being as careful as what she had been when she was feeding. Sure that she had given him enough blood, Rose stood up and walked over to the crowd, the wound on her wrist healed almost instantly as she blended herself into her surroundings. Now all there was to do was wait for her newborn to awaken which wouldn't happen for some time now, it would be long enough for his family to give him the proper goodbye, or so they would think.
