Tiffany led Liam to the room she'd recently chosen as her own. This room was slightly smaller than his, decorated with dark wooden furniture and had a large bed. The bed was covered with purple velvet sheets, the curtains were velvet as well. The room was adorned in these romantic dark colors, perfect for its new owner's taste.
After they both entered, Tiffany closed the door and leaned her back onto it, facing her guest. "So..." She mumbled, her eyes still hazy from the vodka's effect, "What is it you wanted to say? And try to be quick please." She was still annoyed at him from the previous talk and wasn't so eager to have him in her private quarters, besides... the drink had made her kinda sleepy.

Liam closely followed Tiffany up into the purpled covered room. His eyes scanning the interer, and then falling on Tiffany who placed her back onto the door as she leaned back looking at him, waiting for him to speak. He chuckled a little and caught her eyes. " Straight to the point." He said, " Got it."
He walked over to the red haired women, eyeing her as he placed his hand on the wall just behind her and leaned over, " Well, I ran into a friend of yours the other day." He said, flashing her a smile as she looked up at him, " Alright, I'll take that back, I ran into Dante the other night. You know, the hunter."
He watched, waiting for her reaction, fighting the urge to take his hand and place it on the smooth skin on her face, " He was up in Ferrum Hills." He thought for a moment, there was nothing really interesting about the meeting, he just figured she ought to know that Dante had been out and about, that and he wanted desparately to be alone with her, without his younger brother around to hear the thoughts that were screaming in his head to reach out and take her.

The blur in Tiffany's mind was suddenly scattered away when she heard Dante's name. For a minute, she just stared at Liam's face above with widened blue eyes. "He was up in Ferrum Hills." She heard him say. So her arch enemy was around... "That's... good to know." She finally said. "Why thanks for the information."
Then something else hit her: Ferrum Hills was the place Dante had killed the fire demon Berial, if she remembered right. Liam must have had felt the same things as her when he met that man there. Tiffany felt her irritation against him fading away; her eyes softened as she continued staring at Liam, then she bowed her head. "Must've been hard for you." She said quietly. "He killed your grandfather as well as he killed my mother after all... It would be right of you to kill him right then and there."

Liam's eyes drifted to the wall behind Tiffany, where he stood deep in thought. His jaw clenched everytime he thought of the demon hunter up in Ferrum Hills. His cocky attitude, his downright disrespect for the greatest fire god of all time- who just so happend to be the best grandfather to both Liam and Roman, who just so happened to be beaten by some punk ass who was having a good day.
He could feel his temperature rising, as he thought of the demon hunting brat, and then he met Tiffany's eyes, in which he immidiately relaxed. He took a deep breath, " Sorry." He said about the sudden warmth in the room, " You're right, it was hard for me to not reach out and kill him with my bare hands." He thought for a moment, " But he's your target, and I know how much this kill means to you. Still though, I had to see him, the one who managed to kill Gramps." Liam managed a weak smile. " Do me a favor though, let me know when you do get your hands on him, I wanna be there so I can get myself a front row seat."

Tiffany was staring at the floor, waiting for his reaction and she got it in a few seconds: The heat in the room rose dramatically. It made her gasp and panic a little, stuck between the wall and Liam like that, reminding her of the time he'd burnt little kids alive years ago... Her childish old fear seemed to return for a moment, but the temperature got back to normal when their eyes met. He'd relaxed.
This man, Tiffany thought, was actually no different than herself and Roman; having experienced the same loss they'd had, having felt the same pain they'd felt, despite being the one who'd caused the Great Depression... Hell, she'd done the same thing in the human town; killing innocent women and children just to attract a single hunter, and she knew Roman could do it too. Most of the demons could kill with no doubts behind, they were all cruel creatures, it was the way the were. And despite all the cruel experiences Tiffany had had in her past, she too was cruel herself. She was causing the pain which was caused by Dante to her before, to others. Like everyone else.
So there was no reason to blame Liam for his sins now, yet there were many reasons to have sympathy for him, and why was she still keeping a distance? He'd respected her goal and hadn't killed Dante when he could have... "Do me a favor though..." Tiffany returned his smile weakly. "I will." She said. "And I'll let you burn the remains from him."

He didn't know how, but she had relaxed him. Being here with her made him feel more at ease. He felt more in check with his emotions and wasnt' used to these feelings that were beginning to emerge. Feelings that he hadn't felt when.... No, don't think of her. You killed her for a good reason. He thought as he got the sudden urge, once again to reach out and touch the inviting smooth skin which he wanting so badly to reach out and touch, enjoying the feeling he felt with this younger demon.
Liam clenched his jaw again. " Thanks." He said forcing a chuckle as she offered to let him burn the hunter's remains, " Then we can roast marshmellows over him." His dark attempt at humor lightening the feeling in the air. Still, he wanted so badly to take her. His animal demon side beginning to take over as the smell of her skin nearly drove him to the point of insanity. She had grown up into such an irrisitable woman over the years. He wanted to explore the change, and without thinking he gave into his desire to touch as he took his hand and ran it gently over her face.

Tiffany blinked when she felt Liam’s hand on her face; this gesture was out of place. People normally didn’t touch each other’s faces while talking, as she knew it; it felt so foreign, but kind of… Ahh. His hand was warm, abnormally warm but this time, it somehow comforted her instead of scaring her. She’d received this kind of touch from only her mother before years ago; she didn’t know that people who weren’t blood-related could touch each other in this affectionate way. She realized she’d really missed this, being able to rely on someone else to the degree of letting him this close. Her mind told her this wasn’t right, this demon was much older and a stranger; he was probably no different than those who intended to trick her back in the demon world…
But in her heart, she just wanted to stay like this, let Liam caress her cheek like this, it wouldn’t hurt right? Her sleepiness had also returned due to the warmth. Without realization, Tiffany lightly snuggled her face against the large warm hand like a cat, and let out a deep sigh…
Just then, she opened her eyes; she hadn’t been aware that they were closed all this time. She looked at Liam’s face with shock and innocence, her own face flushed, then with a swift movement she got out of his grasp. “Sorry, I… need to sleep.” Tiffany said, standing near the bed with her back turned to him. “Thanks for the company.”

Liam smiled warmly as she stopped nuzzling his hand and opened her eyes. He didn't know that any of their kind was capable of captivating any amount of innocence in their gestures. He liked it. She opened her eyes and had apologized for her actions, telling him she needed to sleep as she walked closer to the bed with her back turned to him.
He chuckled and walked closer to her, " Well." He offered putting a hand on her shoulders taking a deep sigh. " I could stay until you fall asleep." He offered, rather liking the way her presence made him feel. Waking up with the emotions he thought had died, that would never return. " That is only if you want me too."

Tiffany pinched the bridge of her nose with her fingers and closed her eyes tightly, trying to gather her thoughts. "Why would you want that?" She mumbled, still not turning to Liam. "Don't you have business to attend to?" Though she still went to sit on the bed, took off her boots and curled on the mattress, not bothering to get in the covers. Well... She'd stayed in his room once, although she didn't really intend to, so now he was right by thinking he could stay in her room too. Tiffany had no more things to say on the matter, the situation was awkward enough as it was, she was just going to let him do as he pleased- in limits. Besides, it wasn't that bad to sleep in Liam's presence, considering her previous experience. It was... even comfortable with this warmth in the cold castle.

Liam sat down on the edge of the bed. He watched Tiffany as she curled up, a mixture of innocence of a child, and sultury of a woman. As he looked at her, he wondered when she had matured so nicely, in fact although they had their moments, her and Roman both seemed older, and wiser somehow. Even if Roman did have his days of acting foolishly childish, he still had that aura of a man about him, it made him proud of the both of them.
He postioned a pillow on the bed and leaned back, he hesitently put his hand on the top of Tiffany's head and began running his hands gently through her hair, smoothing it as he did so. It was a simple motion, yet it was bringing so many complicated emotions along with it as he went.

Tiffany tensed at first as she felt his hand on her head, and now stroking her hair gently. She was about to turn back and give Liam a questioning look, but her body was suddenly getting too relaxed, moving a muscle seemed so hard now. So she just laid there, curled in comfort, and let him continue his treatment. Tiffany couldn't say she was complaining; this touch resembled her mother's so much, almost the same gentleness and affection, melting all her uneasiness away.
It was dangerous for her to seem so open and vulnerable before a man like this -and a 100-year-old demon at that- but her mind was too blurry now to think straight. The velvet covers under her had also gotten warm with Liam's aura... One last thought managed to cross her mind before Tiffany surrendered to the sweet sleep: Why do you care...
... so much about me?
